Weber Plz

Seriously, the Habs need a good shot on the PP, it's pathetic. Let Markov make plays as opposed to finishing them.

I hear Carle is actually ahead of Weber right now overall, certainly in his own end.

I'd rather let Yannick sort it out for one whole year down on the farm, and give Carle a chance, unless we're willing to part with O'Byrne/Breezer, in which case I'd call both up.

Let Kovalev regain some confidence. Let the team regain some confidence. We don't need Weber. It'll come...

i think we do need someone else on the PP. teams know we don't have a shot back there and they are focusing entirely on our forwards.

I don't know. Markov was at his best on the PP when he dished the puck out with Kovalev. Now that he's shooting it's taking a serious dive. Weber is one option, even Carle, though I don't know how good his shot is.

Weber > Brisebois.

And although this probably won't be a popular opinion I'd say Weber > O'Byrne.

He's been awful imo.

Personnaly, i think we need Weber to play with Sergei on the 2nd wave Weber on left and Sergei on right. We also need a shooter who plays letfy( or simply try Hamrlik) so that Markov can go back to his natural side and give us back the Kovalev-Markov cross-ice combo

Giving us a top 6

Markov-Komisarek
Hamrlik-Weber
O'byrne-Georges
Bouillon

I made a montage to prove this point.

It's a really big concern. Last year the Habs would have probably won 3-1 or 4-2 in regulation with that many PP opportunities.

Carle has a cannon shot.

Sure. How do you propose getting Weber?

You kidding me? Bouillon is by far better than O'Byrne for now.

Smuggle him in a dufflebag and give him a Brisebois jersey.

I'm not a Gui basher, but if he's playing like that and is now on the 4th line, he can go to Hamilton.

Unless they can somehow rid themselves of Dandenault and Bégin I'd be happy.

I agree, every time the puck goes towards brisebois i get nervous.

All i know from Weber is what i saw in pre season. Weber had a right handed shot and he would not be afraid of taking them. While komi is out i think calling him up might be a good idea. Ill go to the hamilton web site and see the highlights to see how he is doing.

anybody else think the problem is having 4 forwards on the first wave with Tanguay up top with Markov? Especially with Markov playing on the right side opposed to the left? Not to mention Lang being utterly useless on the PP...

Lang shoots for the sake of most of the time on the PP, it seems, and his shots are usually wild.

I do think it's a problem; we have no shooter, Tanguay has potted several of them, but let's face it, he and Markov make the slick passes, set up the pretty goals, something A Kost, Plek and Higgins need to be finishing, especially the latter.

We should've never gone after Sundin, now that you look at it.

I agree 100% with it being a problem. I don't believe that Carle or Weber is a solution right now though. From QGD and others comments on the 'Dogs thread, none of them seem ready to play in the league yet, if they can't play real minutes on d, they can't be an answer yet.

I'd like to see A.Kost. back there. Seem to remember him in Hamilton being good back there.

Call Hamilton, tell them to send Weber to the airport and meet us in Carolina.

Were you thinking Nashville's Weber?

I know the cost and the roster spot aren't there but cmon, give one of the guys a shot. The worst that happens is we find out our prospects are actually crappier than Patrice.

Maybe PB is best friends with Guy or Bob. Thats why they won't get rid of him. I wouldn't be surprised if they give PB a position in the organization.

I was thinking the very same thought in the first period. I know Brother S is supposed to be the answer, but Andrei always seems to have a harder, more accurate shot.

I'm also wondering if this game will break him out of his funk finally?

I'd like more Gui on the PP too please. Honestly I thought Lang was pretty sad in that first period and for all this "right handed shot" as advertised, he still needs to hit the net and score with it. I know he got the goal (it was a lucky one finally) but I sure hope he shows more consistency in play and less confusion in his game. He's scrambling a lot to keep up with the play.

Eventually that PP will figure itself out (eventually Kovalev will join the rest of the team on man advantages) and these games won't go to OT.

Right now the best option on the PP with markov on the point is A.Kosty. He has a very good slapper and a terrific wrist shot ( shot strength and quickness of release) .
