Someone should send a memo to the Kings.. no matter how good the defense is, you cant win games without scoring

When you're caught in a 4 on 2, sometimes that's the best way to play it; a zone type d. Looks lazy, but attacking isn't necessarily the best play.

This coach is an idiot, this is Andy Murray all over again.

I have counted just for fun tonight...Calder has 11 times had the puck taken away from him in the offensive zone, including three times on the PP.

I thought he told him to keep it coming or something.

The Kings need to get some shots on net. This is getting bad.

Read between the lines, it's pretty clear what Brownie is saying...

Good turnover by Kopitar, followed by an ever better play by Calder

Jesus, just play Frolov Doughty and Stoll, no one else is doing ****

That is an ignorant statement.

The only thing Terry and Andy have in common is their last name. It ends there, in every respect.

I don't know what to make of Kopitar's play. It's not a lack of effort. He just seems out of sync.

I'm not only talking about the 4 on 2. For about 2 minutes before the goal, the Kings just looked lethargic and started relying too much on the dump and chase like they used to so much last year. Although we lost yesterday, I considered it a pretty good game for the Kings because they kept the pressure on for most of the 60 minutes. Not the same team today.

ah yes, "sucks", that all encompassing generalization designed to shock and thrill. Thanks for that clarification, but I was looking for a discussion with a bit more substance.

Explain the forward lines then?

Remember when the Kings tried to make Erik Rasmussen into a scoring forward, looks like the same is being done with Calder.

Putting one of your most talented forwards on a 4th line and giving him no PP time?

Playing Ivanans as much as he does.

Playing LaBarbera as much as he did early in the year.

Do you think Kopitar, Brown, Frolov and O'Sullivan just turned into bad hockey players over the summer, no, they are being grossly misused by this coach. Same can be said for Handzus.

I love what he has done with the defense, but these forward lines make absolutely no sense whatsoever. You have a 4th liner on the #1 line, you have a defenseman playing wing, you have a talented sniper on a 4th line with a rookie and a defenseman, and the same sniper getting 0 PP time, you have a player who can barely skate and handle a puck on a stopper line with Handzus.

And people wonder why this team can't score goals.

How can he justify these lines?

I suppose it's wrong to hope that someone accidentally shot Pronger...maybe just graze him, you know, nothing life threatning.

Also, Jarrett Stoll was proven to be effective on the point for the powerplay... what happened with that?

I was hoping that him and perry would shoot each other in their "lady parts" so maybe its just natural.

Damn, I was really hoping that that hit from Moen would take out Calder for some time.
