is it over after last night. He was on the ice for a long shift during the tying goal and didn't see the ice after that. He hasn't looked very good to me at all. No question that he obviously has all the tools but he isn't doing much at all with the quality ice time. I would rather see Giroux do nothing with that ice time than watch Nodl.
Nodl was benched, big deal? He'll be playing again come Friday. Im sure Stevens was just proving his point or whatever he does.
And you'd rather see Giroux do nothing?
I'd rather he succeed with the ice time. But he should stay down in the AHL unless he is getting called up for good. No yo-yoing him this time
Yes, he had a bad shift, therefor his career is undoubtedly over from this day forward.

This is a thread where he makes a huge deal over Coburn and Timonen not playing together and questions why the Flyers had an off day when they had 5 days between games.

What is wrong with you, I never said he should be banished, are we married? Again another insult from the mouse behind the keyboard. Maybe we should review some of your brilliance.

No, this is just a stupid thread. Its a waste of space. Is there really any need for a thread to be started because a 3rd line rookie had a bad shift?
Giroux is the better prospect and he needs top line minutes in the AHL to develop his overall game for the pro game. He wasnt going to do that getting 6 minutes a night on the 4th line. Saying you would rather have Giroux up playing on the 4th line doing "nothing" is wrong. There are some things he needs to work on and I have no problem whatsoever leaving him in the AHL to learn what he has to.
As far as the benching last night it was deserved. he never should have stayed out there as long as he did. He made a mistake, I am sure he was spoken to about it. Put him out there for the next game.
I'd like to point out that opting to put a rookie out there on a 4 on 4 when you know Kovalchuk can play 10 minutes straight with the puck was a poor coaching decision . . . but that is just me

It's clear that Stevens has pets. I mean we gave Randy Jones all the time in the world to stop sucking and mature into the lackluster-mediocre defenseman that he is. It's funny how people cry about his absence when most of our defenseman would be decent if given the same amount of patience he was...
but it's beyond annoying that Nodl gets to play with like Carter while Downie is banished by Stevens. It's blatant...Stevens will work with some guys until they become what he wants them to become but permanently pound guys he doesn't care for.
That's why Kukks isn't all that good anymore. One bad shift for Kukks means 10 games scratched...if Kukks had Jones' time and patience we would have a solid defenseman in him.
I don't have a difinitive opinion on Giroux but again, we aren't able to see as much of Giroux as we are of nooodle
I figured someone was going to do it eventually. Although really in Nodl's defence the entire team couldn't get the friggin puck out of the zone. It is tough to make a change when the puck is being shot at your net over and over.

Aside from that one shift where he got caught out there, Nodl has been very good for us. He's not lighting it up point wise, but he's close to breaking through IMO
I am absolutely astonished that someone is saying he hasn't looked good.

Exactly how I feel, he's made some good plays, and he's played well defensively until that one play. He shoulda gotten off the ice, but whatever he's a freaking rookie, you have to expect mistakes like that sometimes. For the most part he has been pretty solid, and I like his hustle. And that shot from his knees yesterday was great.
you have to remember this kid was playing in the NCAA this time last year. that's quite a big jump from one year to the next. i wouldnt say hes looked bad but he doesnt look lost.

he also said he would accept some ridiculous trade involving JVR because he says he will be a bust.
keeps the hits rollin genius, maybe somebody will offer another opinion/or to support your fantasy picks, clearly the only reason that you are on this board, at least your spending moms last $20 wisely. More brilliance, ironic you use the word duece in a thread.
