Of course things went south last year soon after this point, but personally I'm not especially surprised by the Kings this year. I expected them to be more competitive than last year and finish around 75-80 points.

Buffalo, but out of those listed I went with the Rangers, even as a Rangers fan myself.

Boston isn't a surprise to me, they have a great team and so it should be no surprise to anyone.

I've been waiting on the Bruins to break through for a couple of years now. Chicago's start does not surprise me although if they keep it up I'll be stunned.

I really thought the Rangers were going to go backwards without Jagr and my kudos go to them. It looks like Lunqvist is the next great goalie and the Rangers should ride him to a Cup at some point.

Lundqvist by himself makes the Rangers a great team. Put Lundqvist in Boston's net last night and he has the easiest shutout in his career. He kept his team in the game through 3 periods and shined in the shootout.

I don't think he would have easily had a shutout. The Rangers carried the play the entire 3rd.
