I've never seen anybody make so many mistakes like Francois Gagnon and considering we gave a 14th position to the Habs last year, he's a moron, in my opinion...

Koivu and Kovalev does not work... We've been over this a million times.

Here would be my lineup for tonight:

Tanguay - Koivu - Lats
Kostitsyn - Pleks - Kostitsyn
Higgins - Lang - Kovalev
Laraque - Begin - Kosto

PP #1
Tanguay - Koivu - Lang
Hamrlik* - S. Kostitsyn

* Hammer because he can make up for Kostitsyn's defensive shortcomings and still pitch in with some offense.

PP #2
A. Kostitsyn - Pleks - Kovalev
Markov - Someone**

** A defensively responsible defenceman in the likely event Markov pinches

NOTE: NO BRISEBOIS ON THE PP, PREFERABLY BRISEBOIS SPENDS THE EVENING WITHOUT SKATES ON SITTING IN THE PRESSBOX.

Just my $0.02

Is it bad I'd rather see Dandenault in his place?

I think this is the last resort lineup when all else fails. It'll probably be this at some point.

Not sure about Higgins on that line, he's not the most creative player and I doubt he'll sacrifice for Kovy. That could frustrate Kovalev.

I'd let Kovalev and Lang do the extra creative stuff. Higgins needs to play a simple game and be responsible defensively.

I understand and I get your point. I just think we're quick to throw out words like moron, useless, etc. IMHO, it's extreme. And if you haven't seen anybody make as many mistakes as Gagnon, read more, you'll see.

You're right.

And he should just stick to calling him a Sens fan. It's less extreme and straight to the point.

Because when Tom was playing with Lang and S. Kost he created a lot of chances using sheer determination and effort which Latendresse lacks. If Latendresse could show some consistency in his effort he may get the benefit of the doubt.

Kostopoulos is a **** disturber and often creates turnovers by hard forchecking.....

Good lines IMO... Higgins will finally be where he is suppose to be, the 3rd line that is. The guy must play hard, forecheck a lot and be good in his own zone if he wants to be effective. Let the scoring job to more talented players.

At the same time, he writes that the lines are the same as the St Louis game, in which case he's erred: swap Pleks and Lang and you have the lines from last game.

Anybody know which combo it is (I would love to see Pleks center the brothers)

good job Carbo!!!! Kosty bros and Plecks I've been wanting for awhile now!

I'd rather have Lats and Kosto switch places but whatever!

Like S.kost who has one less goal with 6 more games played and only 1 goal in his last 14? He's on my ***** list more so than Lats right now. And thats saying something.

The order of the top 3 lines isn't important. All 3 lines are offensive lines, with the ability to play anytime.

i would prefer Kosto on the 4th line but whatever...at least he's finally decided to change the lineup a bit (finally). it would be nice if he finally made some changes on the PP

sorry Erika... the line with Kovalev on it would be the second line.... the line with sergei and andrei would be the third.

It was more the dig to higgins I was referring to. I think Higgins could play well and produce with Lang and Kovy. Those two perimeter players could use a speedy grinder who goes to the net.

Not a big fan of S.Kost's game right now. The kid has skills but can easily be knocked off his game and his vision, which is probably one of his strongest assets, seems to be betraying him more often than not. Maybe reuniting with his bro for a while will fix that. I'd take erica spamming the GDT with endless sergei love posts to see a productive game from him tonight.
