Like I said in the game thread, I'd rather put a premature baby with diabetes on the ice than Kovalev

Wonderful effort tonight, didn't skate for one loose puck and his slap shot with ten seconds left to go was the nail in the coffin.

I don't think he's coming back next year.

They all sucked really.

Higgins cant control a puck to save his life.
Tanguay cant keep his footing.
Koivu is invisible.. Sergei Kostitsyn with turnover after turnover.

Its too bad because Andrei played a solid game.

I hate to sound cliche, but Kovalev looks like his old self again. Lazy floating giveaway machine. He's done a fantastic job of erasing Koivu and Tanguay from the scoresheet.

He's dragging the team down pretty bad IMO. I don't give a **** what he did last year, we had all summer to celebrate that. This is a new season and he is playing the most lazy uninspired hockey I've seen. He is suppose to be our best player and a leader but he has been a piece of ****.

Looks like he doesn't give a ****. i guess someone forgot to tell him that last season wasn't his contract year. He got his years confused. He's playing some of the most uninspired hockey I've ever watched. The lack of heart or drive on this team is so frustrating. With the skill level of these guys it is absolutely inexcusable.

Yeah, Kovalev rox. Led this team last year, and we know he never has an off year...oh wait, that's every other year.

So, so, so, so many turnovers...I didn't think an accomplished NHL player could actually turn the puck over so much...it's truly mindboggling.

I wouldn't care if he wasn't scoring so much if he just got the puck deep, made smart passes, etc...but he's garbage in every single facet of the game. It's like he's filling the Ryder of last year's role.

Half the board probably has NHA on their ignore list, so I don't know why he bothers making threads.

That's for sure. Regardless of his performance the rest of the way. He's not in the long-term plans and too many guys are facing free-agency.

What is Carbo suppose to do? Kovalev isn't some rosy cheeked rookie...he shouldn't need a coach to get him going.

I wonder what he's thinking when he turns over the puck. Does he actually feel bad , does he even care ?

It's as if he was actually happy not to have the puck anymore. He doesn't look at all like the kovalev of last year

The team needs to get rid of its bush-league coaching staff. We'd have finished out of the playoffs last year again if it wasn't for Kovalev.

Carbo sucked then, and he still sucks now.
You make no sense. You realize Kovalev was great last year when we had the same coaching staff, right? But now that he's sucking, it's Carbonneau's fault?

Please. Anyone who watches the games can see how pathetic Kovalev is playing, and his lack of effort is trickling down to everyone else on the team because he's supposed to be a leader. He's doing far more harm to the team than helping them at this point.

I would love nothing more than for the "old" Kovalev to come back but you have to call a spade a spade - he has been ass turds lately and it's nobody's fault but his own.

He needs to get in his plane and fly far away.

I have seen more effort coming from a 13 year old girls team.

Absolutely pathetic.

Ahhh Kovalev.

I guess he doesn't want to be a Hab anymore, because he's certainly not playing like he wants another contract here, and good riddance if that's the case. He epitomizes the inconsistency that has permeated this team. He's an insanely gifted hockey player with no hockey sense and has been plagued with inconsistency throughout his career.

It's obviously too early to throw in the towel for Kovalev, but he's certainly living up to his reputation.

Fire Carbo, bring up Hartley who will shake this team and he's not afraid to bench players even if they are paid 10M.

Bring Larry Robinson as a assistant coach to coach how to play defense.

That's my solution
