Alright, so Lucic beat Komisarek. Now he'll most likely have to face Laraque, unless he's a sissy and STILL refuses to fight him (in which case I hope Laraque at least nails him real good in the boards)

Is he gonna get beat to a pulp? Or does he stand any chance against the mighty Laraque?

Discuss.

he does have a chance...
I doubt he fight him, if he does, he might win, but i'd say he has about 20% chance.

If they fight early in the game, i hope bad that BGL win the fight otherwise the Habs will lose the game, the team self-esteem will be at lowest.

It'd be closer than most ppl think. Lucic is not Kostopoulos.

Lucic is a sick fighter..

Plus didn't Laraque say he was "too much of a middleweight" to fight against him.

Laraque should have taken things into his own hands last Thursday. If he won't be an intimidating presence against Boston why dress him. In a 5 or 6-1 game who gives a crap about an instigator, or roughing penality. Smack somebody around, leave a mark.

I believe that was to tease him, so he WANTS the fight...

I doubt anyone as proud (remember after the fight?) as that idiot will like being called out for acting like a minor-leaguer and called a middle-weight

And I agree Laraque should have taken the instigator when it was 6-1 and Komi was hurt.

Not gonna happen, we can speculate all we want. Lucic will not throw down with BGL.

He will get seriously ****ed up, but will land one punch and get a takedown and Boston fans will spin it into somehow winning the fight.

Lucic is to pansy to fight Laraque. Hopefully Chara will oblige this time around though!

I'd like to see a rematch with Komi but I'm not sure if his hand will be healed in time.

That is what I thought too. I like Laraque, at times, but what upset me the most is that after the game he talked about Lucic (no respect for him, etc), but he (Laraque) failed to hit anyone or get on anyone's nerves. Begin does it best against Boston. Honestly, if I were Carbo I would dress Begin over Laraque for saturday.
As much as I love Thomas, I think that if he plays saturday you guys will win.

Komi won't do a rematch, and shouldn't.

There's still 6 more games after that one anyways, right?

I doubt Lucic will have much of a choice but to fight Laraque... At least I hope so.

I mean.. How can you hope to be respected as a fighter when you turn down fights?
Especially after beating a teammate of his.

Anyways, What I really hope is that Laraque won't give him a choice... Hit him to the limit of charging until he blows a fuse (which shouldn't take long at all, considering Lucy's temper...)

As much as I hate him, I wish Lucic was a Hab.

Who cares.

Win the bloody hockey game. Look what happened last time the guys got dragged into this charade.

Leave the fighting for the ring. Win the game.

Unless Carbo starts playing Laraque more often, the chances that he is going to be motivated to fight anyone, are slim.

That's the mentality of tough guys - they have to feel part of the team to do their job well. Right now, I think Carbonneau is doing him a dis-service.

He's already said that they will probably fight this season again and in the years to come.

It should not be Lucic's choice.

BGL needs to go for it and take the instigator should that be the case. No way does Lucic turtle and get Georges 5 minutes... he'd drop the gloves if Laraque starts throwing.

If Carbo tells him to go for it, and Laraque refuses because of his "code", then make it clear to him that the next time he wears the CH is when he buys himself a jersey at the boutique. Laraque is an employee and he will do what his employer tells him to do.

Quite to opposite actually, they didn't get dragged into the charades until it was 5-1.

Maybe if they had set the tone early when Kovy got dumped headfirst into the boards rather than cowering, it might of been a different story.

That's exactly what's gonna happen, they're gonna get a 5 mins. powerplay.

I actually think Laraque would get beat up. In fact he has not looked dominating in most of his fights and he has to stay far from Lucic which won't help him. If he doesn't stay back well he will be poked in the eye by that gigantic nose of his.

...Maybe. But it's simply not where the focus should be. If a fight between Lucic and Laraque happens so be it. It won't make the difference in the hockey game and that's what really matters.
