Possible reinforcements from Portland?

Ruff said that the team has not yet decided whether or not to bring a player up from Portland of the AHL but said, "anything is possible".
I'm not sure if that is contigent on Roy's health or just a general thought on Ruff's part.

Well at least Portland is close to Boston and they have a little extra time to make a decision.

I think it could be Ellis. He was here at the start. If they don't want to disrupt Portland?

Mancari will certainly get the nod if someone does.

Mancari deserves a shot after his stellar play.

Wouldn't they need a center then if Roy is out too?

Whose left that can play? Hecht, Mair, Gaustad, MacArthur. I don't think they need to call anyone up. And if they did, it would because of their poor play also.

Putting my "think-like-Larry-Quinn-how-can-I-save-money" hat on, Paetsch is the answer.

i would like so see mancari but more along the lines of a new contract. i have faith in zagrapan, expecially on a line with macarthur and stafford.

zagrapan looked like he added some man meat to his frame, sure it may not be enough to fry mike dika's eggs. like with other teams, this is a point in the season where we need to get value from talent.

If they did the center to call up is Kennedy.

Looks like no one...can't say I'm surprised - this organization is so frustrating sometimes.

Why would they call someone up when they have healthy scratches? It's financially stupid.

Does anyone there replace Kotalik and Connolly's offense?? No.

Will those minutes be forced onto someone who won't do anything with them? (Adam Mair, Gaustad, Stafford)

Yes.

What does it hurt to call up someone for one game and give them a peek?

I think it's safe to say that someone needs to get called up here. Now more than ever IMO is the best time to give either Mancari or Zagrapan an audition.

if they call up anyone it should be Weber and bench either Teppo or Tallinder.

Yeah, that should happen too. Call up a forward and a defenseman.

What this team needs is Mark Mancari.

As I said in the GBU, I'd call up Weber and bench both Teppo and Tallinder, have a Weber-Paetsch third pairing. Also, call up Mancari to shake things up.
