That's wonderful. Whoever the Hab player is should shut his mouth. It's fine to think things like that but you don't go saying it to the media about your teammates. There is a stink starting to come from this team, on and off the ice.

Guessing game on the player...Lapierre maybe?

From what I understood, that's not a Habs player from out team. Isn't it a coach from another team?

"C'est du moins l'opinion d'un dirigeant d'une équipe de la Ligue nationale. Il affirme que les attentes envers le Canadien de 2008-2009 n'étaient pas réalistes. Cet homme de hockey a accepté de répondre à nos questions en exigeant l'anonymat pour ne pas nuire aux relations entre son club et le Canadien."

this is the opinion of an NHL coach who preferred to not give his name so to not diminish the relations between his team and the canadiens.

"C'est du moins l'opinion d'un dirigeant d'une équipe de la Ligue nationale."

Not a CH player.

And he says too that there's no reason to hit the panic button in Montreal, the team is still a good team and will make the playoffs.

It's not a Habs player, it's another team's coach.

Well this title is misleading. Its not a Hab player but a high placed person from some other team. Yeah... can someone change the title?

Dirigeant does not automatically translate to coach. It could also be a GM or assistant GM. And as for LaPresse, this is a pattern "yellow" journalism, quoting unnamed sources. Funny the only player pointed out is A.Kost., probably the only player that has a valid excuse given his concussion from the beginning of the year.

Could this be part of the french media's push to discredit the Kost bros. to elevate Latendresse?

$50 says this was either Claude Julien, or just completely made up all together.

what is with the media trying to create TERMOIL against the Montreal Canadiens?????

Is 10-5-2 that bad?

Did these guy have some bets placed on the Habs and lost money ? Is this why all the spite going on towards Montreal currently?

Insane

Id say lock all media out of the room .Have one Representative come out to address them all.To many so called journalist whom seem more equipped to work at the National enquirer

My bet is on that...

I just find this hilarious...when the Habs struggle, it's always the same story.

- Koivu's leadership is put into question
- Kovalev's playing like 2 years ago
- Markov's unhappy because Kovalev's unhappy
- All the russians on the team are threatening to go back to Russia
- The Quebec born players are getting the shaft
- Bob Gainey's asleep at the wheel

It's so tired...bad spells happen. Get over it!

I think the media/fans has a big part in this. Do you guys think the media/fans in Detroit goes off the deepend when the Wings aren't playing well? No, because they have confidence in their team not to panic, and call me crazy but I think the players can feed off that. We have a responsibility as fans to inspire confidence in the team we cheer for. And even moreso, the media has a reponsibility not to add fuel to the fire by starting unconfirmed reports (the Kostitsyn's threatening to go back to Russia if they're benched??? Markov unhappy with the contract he signed??? please) at the first sign of trouble.

The Habs IMO, are a very good team with a talented roster. Things aren't going well right now, chalk it up to the ebb and flow of a season. The Habs were in a similar situation at this point last year when O'Byrne & Kostitsyn were recalled and things seemed to improve from there. I just find it ridiculous...the media spent the whole offseason praising every single player on this roster, and 17 games in with a 10-5-2 record, those same players aren't worth anything? That's so weak and typical of this team's coverage

Could be either a GM, a coach, an assistant coach. Take your pick.

Of course it's Julien, no way is this coming from Vignault (he's in the West now) or Therrien (he's got his own job to worry about).
Buttermilk still seems to be sore at this team, he only really makes any motion that's not for a hotdog vendor during habs games.

Or this is phase 2 from RDS to get SK74 off the team

don't forget, this article was written by Richard "Saku Koivu must go" Labbe

"Dirigeant" is a GM, or something higher, but I doubt I.

is it ever...the way the media has turned on this team the last 2 weeks or so makes me ashamed. I can't even do my nightly/daily routine of listening/watching Habs related coverage. They spend less time talking about how the Habs are playing and more time talking about fantasy storylines.

The Habs aren't playing well right now because THEY'RE NOT WORKING HARD OR INTELLEGENTLY. It's not about Koivu's leadership, it's not Kovalev playing like 2 years ago or anyother non-sense these guys come up with. It has to do with how the players are playing on the ice.

Don't believe the media people, support your team!
