I had to read this a few times before it made sense to me. Now that I have, I wish I hadn't.

He is playing with Lang and Kostitsyn which would i guess be considered the third line. He has been playing third line for most of his games this year.

the massive line change by Carbo wont make the spirit any better in the lockeroom... really he is overeacting big time.. i guess its a matter of just wait and see.. it did work out in the past.. unless its was just a matter of Gainey and Kovalev stepping up???

Carbo as to be carefull not to lose the respect of his players.. specially thoses skilled one who have more of a issue with patience on the way they do things..

Yep. The fourth liner label is a little misplaced on a guy that plays like Kosto has been the last while. Kostopolous is certainly not a skilled guy but his speed allows him to fit in quite well with a line that has some skill. He's not like a Laraque-type, who's effective only on the bottom line, because he can't keep up with faster players. This being said, I would love to see Kosto on the fourth line because that would mean that all of our scoring players have earned a spot in the top 9.

I mean, with his talent, he should be driving the net every shift he has. Yet, he stays on the perimeter most of the time. Get dirty, bud. Get dirty.
Yea this I know, but you didn't anwser my question, if Kostitsyn wasn't one of our best players lately, then who was?

I am sorry but 2 goals in 15 games = not getting the job done.

I don't know why everyone is so defensive when that guy gets some deserved criticism. I am sure he will tell you himself that he is not pleased with how his season has been going.

Thanks, I didn't know that. Here I was thinking he was scoring goals in bunches, guess it was the highlight reel playing in my head.

since I did that in NHL 09 in my franchise that line has been DOMINANT!

And looks like AK 46 is playing on the left tonight, hopefully he tells Kostopoulos to switch sides in the offensive zone.

Unless each line scores a goal in the openning 5 minutes of the game, yes, pretty much.

The good guys outshoot the bad guys when Andrei is on the ice (Corsi). You can't say that for any other Habs forward this season.

I'm sorry, but going around a cone and waking a sleeping goalie doesn't qualify as good

Not only did he score, he set up the tying goal. He also had a couple more stellar set ups that weren't converted. In the shootout, he was inches away from winning it before Kovalev did. In Carolina he beat a hot Cam Ward with a shot that just rang the post. He also deked a lot of players out and was one of the few that could successfully gain the zone or retrieve the puck when it was dumped in. Watch again.

D's are the same

Carey Price in nets

much better!

Much better

Latendresse and Higgins both go where they belong, and Left Wing Liberation has finally worked

more and more i feel like carbo is not the right guy in place for this team. How can you put skost on the 4th line infront of Kostopoulos?? atleast put him with his brother and lang.

Makes no sense to me

Lapierre being scratched also puzzles me. He's always played with a lot of hustle. Could there something going on behind the scenes?

Carbo's trying to light a fire under him, I think.

Whether that's the right way to go about it, or if it will work, remains to be seen.

Good job getting Latendresse back on the first. Nothing was wrong with that line in the first place.

Now you have to put the Brothers together and NEVER have your 4th line out there against the other teams top-6, and maybe then I'll give Carbo his grade 10.

It's tough to avoid the odd poor line match-up if you're on the road, though. I'm not too concerned about the 4th line matching up against the Sens' 2nd line tonight, but the Spezza line would cause them a lot of headaches.

It's tough for Carbo to avoid poor match-ups at home too... that's the problem.

I guess Lapierre and Carbo are not on the same wavelength.
