Wow. Screw 'Obsequious.'

Just call this the 'Puppy Banter Thread.'

John Stevens would approve.

There's nothing worse than looking out the window of your home as a dog stops on your lawn and gives you a present. Shortly there after, the dog owner looks around as if nothing happened, and walks away w/o cleaning their dogs crap.

That just pisses me right off!

Pretty good article with Homer quoted...

Blackhawks' Sharp cuts 'legitimate' figure

http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/stor...key-sharp.html

You won't find his name on this year's NHL all-star ballot. He has failed to reach 65 points in three full seasons. And he has appeared in just 12 Stanley Cup playoff games.

As for his international hockey experience, it starts and ends with the men's world championship in Halifax and Quebec City last spring.

Yet, Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Sharp continues to strengthen his case to be among Team Canada's starting 12 forwards at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver/Whistler.

Detroit Red Wings general manager Ken Holland, a member of Canadian executive director Steve Yzerman's management team for the Winter Games, likes what he has seen from Sharp in the first two months of this campaign after his career season in 2007-08.

"He's a guy we're going to watch closely and someone that has to be on our radar screen," Holland told CBCSports.ca by phone from his office in Detroit.

"Last year was his breakout year and it appears in the first 15, 16, 17 games of this year, he's just using last year as a springboard to really establish himself as a consistent, legitimate top-six, top-three forward in the NHL."

Good read. Thanks, MSE.

As much as Ken Holland likes him, Sharp'll be hard pressed to crack Team Canada for 2010. There are plenty of guys ahead of him on Canada's depth chart.

He's come a long way. He was given a chance there and took advantage of it. Too bad, because I liked him game. Then again, I liked Kimbi Daniels and Mark Pederson, too.

Yeah, he's definitely made a lot of progress. I remember not caring about his trade.

I'll see your Kimbi Daniels and Mark Pederson and raise you Dominic Roussel and Aris Brimanis (such a great name).

Anyway, my puppy now is the ****ing man. English Springer Spaniels are honestly some of the coolest dogs. It's the "family dog," I guess you could say. My grandparents always had them, except when they got their yap-yap miniature schnauzer, but my uncle always gets them, and we've always had them since I was a baby.

This is the first day we got him:

I have a Britney Spaniel. Hes a year old and looks very similar to this but with brown instead of black and thinner.

I was feeling left out of the puppy discussion...here's my brother's dog Snoopy. He's a beagle-jack russell cross.

He's an idiot but I love him:

hah...definately didn't mean to post such large pictures but I'm definately too lazy to chop the size of them down.

Yeah haven't been there in awhile... It seems too forced now, and art should not be forced. It should come from the heart. The new pictures just lack inspiration and drive. Some funny ones but... nothing compares to the first batch. Or maybe I'm just desensitized from it now.

So lately I've been listening to Howard Eskin during work. The guy is brutal and I don't agree with a lot that he says. But you gotta admit, he does a damn good job at what he does. He can make anyone sound like an ass, he kinda even did it to the immortal Harry Kalas when debating if Lidge could get the cy young. Point is Howard Eskin can be an a-hole but give him credit for being good at it.

Thoughts?

You can't really tell, as their not the best pictures, but he is actually brown and white. We've only had one black and white springer before. I'm a bigger fan of the liver and white. And believe it or not he was about 3 weeks old when I took those, so he was pretty tiny. I guess I got the bad picture angles on him. I'll be sure not to post those on myspace hahah.
