The fans' clamor has apparently been heard: The Sabres have just taken the ice for the morning skate and right winger Mark Mancari is here from Portland, where was second in the AHL in scoring with 25 points (11 goals, 14 assists) in 14 games.
Mancari is skating with Paul Gaustad and Daniel Paille and it looks like Lindy Ruff (finally) will make Maxim Afinogenov a healthy scratch. One-goal Max is on the ice but not skating on the lines, which look like this:
And now more news: Henrik Tallinder just skated near the Flyers' bench and told one of the visitors he's a healthy scratch for tonight in the wake of Wednesday's disaster in Boston that was a key topic in the locker room yesterday.
I'm driving in from Brampton, ON to watch this game and it'll be my first Flyers game outside of the ACC. I can't wait, I took the day off work to mentally prep myself.
Anyone know if there are usually a good amount of Flyers' fans in Buffalo? I figure if there are about 1000 at a Maple Leafs vs Flyers game there should be a good showing being a couple of hours closer to Philly.
Quirk of the schedule. Last season, it was three games in about three weeks against Carolina. Flyers don't play the Bruins until February then meet three times in less than a month.
Wow, that's going to be brutal on my ears.

No? Go to one of their home games.

There's usually good representation at Buffalo games.
Anyone? Has Josh Gratton been looking good on the 4th? Will he scrap?
And I'd say the same goes for PHI at their home games, at least you can wear your own colors in Buffalo and make it out alive
Gratton has been playing well on the 4th line for us. If I remember correctly he only fought once this year and that was against Laraque (which he got destroyed).

He doesnt eat punches like Cote does. Blocking? Pshh Cote just takes it and tries to knock the other guy down first. Gratton needs to learn how to eat punches
