The red on this site pops out for me (red on the net seems to pop out quite a bit for whatever reason. I think it has something to do with LCD displays), but the midnight green can give me trouble if there's not light directly on it. Basically the brighter the shade the easier it is for me and the darker shades give me trouble.

81 was my number when I played hockey, and tight end in football.

While I access this site daily, but only post sporadically at best, I felt like responding to this thread anyway.

Whiskeyboarder is actually my username for EVERYTHING I do online and has been since, probably, the seventh grade or so. Being that I am about 25 now, this has been a super consistent user name for me.

In any case, before high school, I moved from Berks County to the state of North Dakota (yeah, it really exists) and, there, I became an avid snowboarder. I also became quite the alcoholic. I now live in Florida and one of those two habits still persists. You figure out

So the name is a combination of two of my favorite pasttimes (at the time, at least)

Thanks

Not having any Family in Toronto, I started volunteering at a local Church over the Christmas Holidays serving hot suppers to the needy. The 2nd year I met Dave, who is now, a close friend and of course being true Canadians, we ended up talking hockey after about 5 minutes of meeting each other. Dave was and is a huge Oilers Fan and we both agreed that the 87 finals still stand as the best Stanley Cup Final in the modern era. We laughed that his favourite Oilers are Kurri & Moreau while Kapanen & Poulin have always topped my list. More of a nod to a stand-up dude than anything else.

Mine is pretty self explanetory. You play for the crest on the front, not the name on the back.

No. It roughly translates to "Kiss my Ass".

edit: darn, I got beat out.

Anyway, my cousin used to work as a cashier when he was younger and on St. Patty's day he changed his nametag to "Pog Mo Thoin".

No one commented on it.

Except his 100% Irish off the boat father.

Anyway, Erin go Bragh!

Mine is pretty straight forward if you are familiar with the movie Youngblood. If you havent seen it, then I would suggest tracking down a copy and watching it as it is one of the great hockey movies out there...

It's what everyone calls me, even my mom. From the time I first got online, I was too lazy to come up with something creative and didn't want to remember different names for different sites, so I always use it everywhere (sometimes without the hyphen when it's not available).

That is awesome, great user name. My roommate is color blind too and we poke fun everyone in a while at him for it, but he usually gets us back somehow.
