The Canucks would do that in 0.12581566 seconds, if you ask me...

Nah. Lehtonen is a great prospect, no doubt, but he's unproven and would not solve our goaltending problem for a while, IMO. So this move doesn't really make sense.

It would take longer than that... Nonis would have to survive his initial heart attack, and have the offer verified several times, call the Atlanta GM back and ask if he was joking, check the calendar to make sure it wasn't April 1, and then have his wife pinch him a few times to make sure he wasn't dreaming or in a coma.

Can't we just have an official "all bertuzzi proposals here" thread?

Twilight? He's what, 28 years old? He still has lots of good hockey left in him.

I think I would do that deal, if only because I'm a huge Lehtonen fan, but I think Atlanta would have to give up something else. Kari is not NHL proven yet (over any length of time). Another good prospect would be needed.

Then the Canucks could sign a RW to replace Todd.

Lets get EA Sports NHL 2005 to make the deal in.

I am still sticking to my prediction that when the trial/courth thing is done Bertuzzi is done in Vancouver.

On the trade idea--it may just be me--but I don't think that Atlanta would do the deal

I know I would, but the real question remains if the Canucks do that, they squander any hope in hell of EVER winning the cup in this decade.

The proposal is as unrealistic as possible.

Getting Bert for someone who's yet to prove himself in the NHL makes no sense for Atlanta?

Wow.

Great Poposal.

I would sign it anyday.

Since we did you a favour on the first deal, lets do a second Deal.

Ruutu (at his prime) for Ilya (unproven, still too early in his career to tell if he will ever be good again).

Chubarov (at his prime, a great checker), for Danny, (after surgery, no one is even sure if he can play again and therefore you got a steal here. A capable NHLer for a NHLer with 1 leg)
