The guy had a 0.921 save % and a 2.44 GA last year.
While Jim Carey Price had a 0.920 save % and a 2.56 GA last year.

Wait all you want, Tim Thomas is a damn good goaltender.

Wow, you really showed me. 921 svp? Man, that totaly trumps Prices svp.

2.44 gaa? Yeah, a whopping .12 lower!!! WOW. Remarkable. Especially when its compared with a 20 year old. SO remarkable!! And nice twist on his name there. Jim Carey Price? Keep dreaming. I know its every Bruins' fan wet dream.

Yes we get your point. Their stats is almost identical.

Then why dont u pick the cheaper player then?

Because Thomas is playing way over his head right now and theres no way he'll keep up the stats he has right now until the end of the season. I don't even think its out of the question that Price will end up with better stats by years end. Right now the Bruins are playing crazy good and so is Thomas, dont get me wrong. But im not sure he has those same stats if he was playing on the habs, missing our 2nd D and in the midst of a major slump. Put Price in there with the way the Bruins are palying and his stats are just as good if not better. The cap diffrence isn't that big anyways.

Man calm down those are stats from last year, and Thomas is a good goalie however unorthodox. He just never played well against Montreal until recently. Thomas and Price would be a good goaltending tandem for their cap hits.

This is an easy choice for me. Brodeur @ 5.2 for the starter with Price as the younger, cheaper future superstar backup.

Not sure why anyone would vote Luongo if we are taking cap hits into account. Even if he's comparable to Brodeur (which is an argument itself), his cap hit is significantly higher.
