Different players, but here's the thing. Kostitsyn does way more with the puck than Richards will ever hope to accomplish besides a booming shot on goal.
last year, this year, next year, and for the next 10 yrs; richards is wase and will always be better than akosty. However, andrei is not well used
Mike Richards >>>> Sergei Kostitsyn and it's not even close. Calm down Erika.
LoL. I wasn't the one Comparing Sergei to Mike Richards, so calm down
And still, Sergei is closer to what Mike Richards is than Andrei will ever be... in terms of skillset: grittyness, feisty edge, aggressive forechecking style, defensive play, size, skating style and overall skills. I'm pretty sure that Sergei will be a better leader than Andrei too.

Maybe not but you pimp Sergei like he is the next incarnation of Jesus.

Grittyness: Andrei has the edge because of the quality of the hits, Sergei will tend to go for more hits, While Andrei will have the bigger harder hits.
Feisty Edge: Sergei has the edge here, but whether it's effective or not is very debatable. You aren't going to convince anyone that Sergei is intimidating to any other team in the league.
Aggressive Forecheck: I'd say fairly Equal. Much like feisty edge Sergei effectiveness is limited by his size. I don't remember Sergei rubbing some off the puck often enough to say his forecheck is any more effective than Andrei's more quality checks.
Size: Andrei is bigger. Enough Said.
Skating Style: Equal. I don't know why this is even brought up, but if you're talking about speed they both have a great set of wheels.
Overall skills: Two different players. Two different skills set.

Delusion runs deep doesn't it...
The good thing about making predictions is that you don't need to back up you're statements It's only a matter of "feelings and personnal opinions". So sorry, I can't tell you any winning lottery numbers
Let's just wait and see what happens in a few years.

I don't see anything to suggest sergei will ever be better than andrei ever. You basically said a bunch of one sided things to prove your point including variations of the same thing, grittyness, feisty edge and aggresive forechecking style? You just wanted to make it look like you have a long list of stuff but you're just biased. I cannot say this is for sure, but I'm pretty sure andrei usually forechecks deeper than his brother and even goes for a check in the process. Size? Andrei is bigger, weight and height, what are you talking about? Defensive play, andrei is 3rd in plus minus on the habs with a +6, sergei has +1. Andrei has more hits, more blocked shots, more shots taken in 2 games less. 4 of sergei's 9 points have come on the PP, 7 of andrei's 7 points have come 5 on 5. Andrei's skating is more dynamic than sergei's in my opinion. His puck control and dekes, well, check youtube you'll see the difference. His shot is better as well.
Sergei is a patient playmaker who finds the open man, please, as much as I like both of them a lot, let's not confuse the total package that andrei brings when he's on his game. His size, skating, and while he does not have the same edge his brother has, he's not shy of dishing out some huge hits that his brother (exception:grabs hit) lacks the size to do so.
Well to be fair to Lang, he did some nice work on the boards that led to the first goal. He's not that terrible - although he is slow...
I actually like lang, the pessimistic would say he misses his chances(which sucks) but the optimist would say he has a uncanny skill at getting open and creating chances. It's only a matter of time before he gets some in.
I like you dude, and for that reason I want to warn you, right now, that in the quote above, how can I put this? I'm sorry, there's no easy way to say it but you sound like a Flyers fan. I'm sorry, I just thought that you should know.
Now, if you were to say that Andrei Kostitsyn is YOUTUBE! then I'd be right there with ya
The best thing that has happened so far this season is Andrei's separation from Kovalev. As we saw last night this allows Andrei to create opportunities in the offensive zone. He was responsible for both ES goals last night. On the first goal, he scored. On the second he brought the puck into the ozone and feathered a beauty of a forward pass to Tom K and ultimately went into the corner and passed to Brisebois resulting in Tom K's deflection after skimming off of Lang. I think that Andrei learned a lot from playing with Kovalev, but now is the perfect time to spread the play making potential around.
After last night I'd keep the AK46/Lang/Kosto line together for a bit. It works.
Imagine what Lang with the brothers would do. But no, Carbo's gotta get all cute and use Sergei on the 4th at even strength.
And yes, I'm aware TK played an awesome game last night and put up 2 points. But goals and assists won't be a regular thing with him. Lang and the Kostitsyns has the potential to be a great line.
Andrei has looked awesome in 3 of last 4 games. More involved, allowed to utilize his skills. Doesn't take a genius to figure out why. But 1 minute of powerplay time is unacceptable.

I want the AK46 with Tang & Koivu, and on the RIGHT GOD DAMN SIDE.
