You just wanted to make it look like you have a long list of stuff but you're just biased. I cannot say this is for sure, but I'm pretty sure andrei usually forechecks deeper than his brother and even goes for a check in the process. Size? Andrei is bigger, weight and height, what are you talking about? Defensive play, andrei is 3rd in plus minus on the habs with a +6, sergei has +1. Andrei has more hits, more blocked shots, more shots taken in 2 games less. 4 of sergei's 9 points have come on the PP, 7 of andrei's 7 points have come 5 on 5. Andrei's skating is more dynamic than sergei's in my opinion. His puck control and dekes, well, check youtube you'll see the difference. His shot is better as well.

Sergei is a patient playmaker who finds the open man, please, as much as I like both of them a lot, let's not confuse the total package that andrei brings when he's on his game. His size, skating, and while he does not have the same edge his brother has, he's not shy of dishing out some huge hits that his brother (exception:grabs hit) lacks the size to do so.
+1

And yes, I'm aware TK played an awesome game last night and put up 2 points. But goals and assists won't be a regular thing with him. Lang and the Kostitsyns has the potential to be a great line.

Andrei has looked awesome in 3 of last 4 games. More involved, allowed to utilize his skills. Doesn't take a genius to figure out why. But 1 minute of powerplay time is unacceptable.
No, I have to disagree. There is something about Kostopoulis on that line that frees up AK46 to freewheel in the ozone. Kosto goes in full tilt harassing the D, or opportunistically taking advantage of poor D coverage offensively. The opposition can not set up properly when a player like AK46 is playing off this type of chaos. I love the fact that Carbo thought of this line.

How about we get the time machine, and use it to draft Richards, Getzlaf, Parise, or Brown instead of Kostitsyn.

Just in case you are wondering, after 2-3 years, the desire to see it come true remains, but the passion with which you hope to see it happen fades away. One day though...

Well that would be ideal, but I don't think we're gonna see that any time soon.

This line didn't show much in Ottawa. In fact as soon as Sergei was put on it they scored the 2-2 goal. I appreciate what Kosto brings to the team, but not on a scoring line. But we'll probably see them get another shot tomorrow night. Carbo seems hellbent on not playing the brothers together for anything longer than a period or two.

It showed enough that Carbonneau played them against the Bruins. And rightly so.

Yeah, because Carbo's line combos happen to be the universal litmus test for who should play with who. :rolleyes

So true.

I guarantee in 5 years Cherry will still be *****ing about how "dirty" Kostitsyn is and how he tried to injure Schenn on that icing.

You're kidding right? Mike Richards is a center that can read defense/offense on the ice. Andrei isn't that at all. I don't really care if they both are good fantasy skaters and have a good shot, Mike Richards is several miles ahead of Andrei, just because of that.

And yeah Richards (21 points), AK (7).

Andrei Kostitsyn is small

Back to being ineffective, reporting he's on a line with Kovalev again.
