Great as always, MSE. I have to join the I didn't know Propp was a NorthStar club. I also didn't know this little diddy:
April 4, 1970 -- In one of the most disheartening events in Flyers' history, Barry Gibbs of the North Stars scored the game's only goal 7:38 into the third period when sunlight shined through a Spectrum exit causing Bernie Parent to lose vision of the puck that was shot near the enemy blue-line. The defeat caused the Flyers to miss the post-season as they needed a win (or a tie with help) in any of the last six games. The team finished 3-13-5 in the last 21 including six straight losses in the last six games. Gump Worsley made 30 saves and Parent stopped 34. Kate Smith's recording of "God Bless America" was played but the Flyers suffered their first defeat when the song was played
Very interesting stuff.
Happy Birthday to Preems, let's hope the boys get a win for him tonight.
But knowing Sean, he'll only accept the fight after Richie's been killing a penalty for over a minute.
I'd like to see him do one of his gay ass modeling poses, and just see Hatcher fly down from the press box and level him. One can dream, but I seriously hope Richie or someone else will give his fugly ass face another scar, enough so that when I'm walking around in the mall, I won't have to see his ugly mug in Gap ads anymore.
