Game will be 3-1 Phoenix after 1 and we will bring it within a goal only to lose the game 3-2.

People here who support Renney will rave about the near comeback and team toughness.

If Our Lord Saviour S:t Hank allows 3 goals, then it's game over.

If it stays at two, then Rangers will win.

Just like Coughlin and the Tiki fiasco. Coughlin was bad for the locker room !

And Joe Torre, we saw how great the Yanks became once his losing ways exited, good riddance.

Yeah, NY fans get it right every time out !

Coughlin is a bad example. He had to completely... COMPLETELY... reinvent himself.

If Renney did such, I'd support him as long as it brought winning.

Well, sure, the desert dogs isn't exactly NHL's best defensive team.

But Rangers scoring 6 goals?

I'd say 3, possibly 4 if the last is in an empty net.

He looked at the Devils last game and said, "****, a team with half the talent we have put up 7... we can at least put up 6!".

Hey, if the game turns into another two-period snooze-fest at the MSG Library, you can always switch to the Fishsticks/Canadiens game. Win or lose, you know the Bell Center will be rocking!

Then come back to the Ranger game in the third, see if Sam and Joe are still awake (sometimes I'm not so sure), and see if another stirring comeback is needed.

A win doesn't really count unless we score more than 3 goals. Didn't you get that memo?

Except there comes a time when it's static and a change is needed. We have differing opinions here, obviously.

But I pose this question: Will you still want Renney here next year with another early playoff exit? That would be 4 in 4 years. Don't you think this team needs to take the next step one of these days?

Except no one really says that and your silly little quips like that only serve to show that you haven't really read any of my posts.

Wins are nice, yes. But the team needs to have CONSISTENT wins. IE let's play a full 60 minutes of hockey type wins.

I'm not going to argue about this in a 3rd thread here with you, but if you're fine winning BARELY and getting outplayed 2/3 of a game, be my guest. That won't fly in the playoffs, however.

Isn't actually making the playoffs 4 times in 4 years quite a change?

At least when led by seven years of not even qualifying ...

I'd take a look at the GM failing to get people who click at the final level first.

Of course it is. I'm not really complaining about making the playoffs. Quite the contrary.

This team could very well go deep into the playoffs. There are just too many problems with slow starts and motivational issues that plague us to death.

There just comes a time where change is needed and I really do feel that way. I mean, I'd love to keep Tom in the organization and I feel he's a great coach for a lower level team, but, unfortunately, I just feel there are better options out there.

If I thought we had the talent to go deep into the playoffs, then yes, we would have to see some improvment from years past. I'm just not sure this team is as good as we would like it to be. But i'm not blaming Renney, he's doing what he's done the last 3 seasons - field the best attack possible with the players he's given.

Every year he's been here the fans have found things to complain about. And still his record is that of a winning coach. This hasnt been a team full of all-stars. Yes, Hank & Jags, but two does not make a team, as there are plenty of teams looking like ass this year who have legitimate depth & first line talent.

A change is needed, but I not that sure that the coach is the issue.

I think that the needed change will come, once the team gets together and used to each other.

Desperate swaps in staff or players will only delay that moment.

"As long as it brought winning" is significantly different than "As long as it brought winning.. that I approve of." Which is what you're saying.

I'm content with wins. The matter in which they achieve that win really doesn't make a bit of difference to me. The matter in which they lose, and losing in general, is a completely different story.

Don't get ahead of yourself either. I don't chase people around looking to pick a fight.

I like the new line combos.... I've been calling for a Naslund - Dubi - Zherdev line for a while now. I also think mixing up the d-men will help some of those guys get their heads out of their *****. Rozi's been brutal the past few games.

Glad to see Gomer back.

well first let me say that I spoke with Law, from the fish sticks board and I also do well with photoshop so I am going to take a crack at our next GDT. But onto the game, I feel like the Rangers will finally wake up in this one. Hank will be back on his game and we will win 4-1. Goal will be from Drury, Redden, Sjostrom, and COLTON ORR! Yeah, I may be on crack tonight, but first basketball practice tonight and I don't know why but I am feeling Orr's first goal of the season coming tonight.

LET'S GO RANGERS!
