Would a timeout before the powerplay in the last minute of regulation have killed us? Give them a bit of the rest and possibly set up a little play. But no.

-Plekanec and Kovalev are just playing by themselves out there. Might as well put Dandenault up with them. Wouldn't make much of a difference.

All the fans here are awful, we can't beat an aweful team like the Islanders because players like Kovalev and other high priced a-holes aren't pulling their weight...but one guy who is learning the trade on a very bad defense gets the blame?

Habs fans are pathetic and awful!

he made a mistake, big deal, it's a regular season game.

but as usual the montreal crowd will chase a player away and he'll eventually end up being a very solid player, elsewhere.

i don't know what made me feel worse tonight.. the morons booing streit or the morons who chanted o'byrne's name.

I've been pretty vocal about my dislike for O'Byrne but I'm not even going to muster up a "told you so" after that because (a) it could happen to anyone and (b) I felt really bad for him.

It sucks it had to end that way but I still feel much more reassured by the effort in the last two games...a couple of shootout goals the other way (and O'Byrne hemming the puck around the boards instead, for example) and we could've been 2-0...instead we're 0-0-2 which still isn't the end of the world.

The effort is the main thing and I saw it tonight so I'm happy.

Edit: also for anyone putting this solely on O'Byrne, we still had two powerplays after it happened and we had just as much a chance as they did to win it in the SO. Blame our anemic offense instead.

Disappointing loss. Played a good game. O'Byrne really screwed up, crap happens, I hope he bounces back from this soon enough. Price was poor in the SO, as were the shooters.

Excuse me? Kovalev pulled his damn weight around. When was the last time you saw him planted in front of the net trying once, twice and three time to put the puck in? One of his better "non-scoring" games he played all season.

It's tough to take this loss. Even tougher to contain my anger. I'll cut him some slack though.

I wouldn't call multiple turnovers a great game. What game were you watching?
