Lemieux returns

NO, not Mario. Ol' Pepe Lemieux signed a contract with AHL's Worcester.

So , should the Habs put in a claim?

I'm actuallynot sure if I'm being sarcastic or not.

sorry, I didn't realize a few hours was considered old by HF standards.

I know he announced his plans for a comeback a few weeks ago, but I didn't see this arcticle posted anywhere.

You know, that's just not funny. I knew it was claude because I had heard of this news before, but if I hadn't might have hunted you down and killed you.

Mario coming back was my #1 Hockey Memory of all time. i even remember the lazy ****s at EA released a patch for NHL 2001 when they found out he came out. Then they exaggerated the pronounciation of his name in NHL' 2002.

Ah the memories.

Hey is it just me or wasn't he playing for another Shark team in China?

A great playoff performer, and we all know how bad San Jose can use one of those.

He was a warrior and Savard should have never traded him.

Last season before Savard traded him his play had declined and he was acting like a jerk, embarrassment to the team (lying on the ice faking injuries, diving etc). This was a continuance from the year before.

The Org. got sick of his antics and that's why he was traded...I remember it as if it were yesterday because he was one of my favorite players...but I felt Lemieux gave Savard little choice.

As a matter of fact I recall his interviews after the trade and into his first season with the Devils that it was a humbling experience and he realized he had to mature.

Be interesting to see how this old geezer does in the new NHL.

He was a clutch playoff guy, no doubt. Not sure if he'd be very effective now in that regard...of course if any team is looking for someone to taunt and harass the opposition, then turtle, he's the guy.
