I voted Samsonov, purely based on contract in comparison to stats and frustration.

I nominate two guys
Robert Dirk
Darryl Shannon
both guys had no business being in the NHL...

The best part of this thread is that growing up I watched tons of terrible Habs players when they were with the baby Habs in Fredericton and a lot of them looked really good playing in the AHL, but just couldn't cut it in the show.

I don't understand how this is close...I hate Samsonov but Traverse should be running away with this thing.

We have a lot of younger fans here that might not have seen Traverse play. *Lucky bastidges*

I cannot vote for anyone else than Traverse here.
Last year he played I think half of our losses were directly his fault.
He makes O'Byrne look like a Norris winner!
Man did I hate this guy... And I still do!

Don't know how far back you want to go, but how about Gaston Gingras. He had a real knack for messing up defensively

I went with Samsonov. We had high hopes for him, and he just shat the bed.

Yeah he was pretty effective on the PK in his last few years.

Eric freaking
Chouinard
.
Hossa was on the list, but had shockingly decent stats.
Terry Ryan barely played.
David Wilkie also had decent stats.
...hell, Even Chouinard was not absolutely terribly statistically.
Keep suggesting guys though, I'll bring them in for the next round and if other ever wins, obviously toss the most popular into the mix.

Gerald Diduck and Murray Baron sucked badly here.
I dont understand why anyone would vote for rookies like Higgins or Ryan or Wilkie.
these guys barely played and when they did, never on the 1st 2 lines, always with other scrubs like them...
HM: Samsonov

Higgins is a European league star now, isn't he?
I know he was a "hero" for the Spengler Cup addition of Team Canada.

For real? This guy was terrible, I think he gave the puck away more than anybody I have ever seen, and he couldn't hit the net for the life of him.

Maybe it's just me but I don't remember Ward having a whole lot of PK time, I thought we had guys like Sundstrom, Bulis, Juneau, Begin, Koivu, Dackell running the PK.

this thread is so sad... it shows how much we were a bad team for so much years...
I voted Czerkawski but my vote could have went to anyone in the poll... I just can't imagine a team formed with all those players, it would be pretty brutal... I don't even know who I'd play on first line...
Also we might want to add Patrick Poulin on the list, based on his stats which weren't the worst (sad) at the time but today are worst than Gui-mauve's last few years...
