Is it just me, or do I see a trend of trying to grab the late-rising guys. I suppose it's better to get a guy who's ranking goes up as opposed to down. Worries me a bit (not specifically with Stoner or anything) that we may be catching guys on a good year or peak or something. I guess it's all a gamble anyway.
Not a problem. There is another link at www.northislandgazette.com in the sports section, headlined something like "Profiling a rookie and a retiree", which goes over Clayton's career briefly as well. It was written as a part of my column I write for that paper, but probably wouldn't provide much interest to anyone as its pretty basic stuff. It does include a reference to HF though.
When I cover the Wille Mitchell Classic in a few weeks I'll try to get some comments from Mitchell about a player being drafted by the Wild from his hometown.
