I agree. I would rather us get a high draft pick and be a favorite for the cup a couple years down the road..
I'd say that most of us are sick of waiting and want to be in the playoffs immediately.
I sure as hell do not want another damn pick and get last in the league. It is truly embarrassing to be at the lower of the pack and get laughed at.
So TM is doing "throw bunch of names in the hat" thing again. Cool. Next game:
Moller Kopi Ivanans
Simmonds Brown Army
Stoll Handzeus Richardson
Sully Calder Frolov
The post from the kings site is more recent than when Rich H. reported the line changes, so i am thinking this is the way it is. This seems pretty reactive-two centers on the third line, and Armstrong bumped up to second. I guess Fro is going back to checking after what i thought was a strong offense game last night from him.
edit-okay you know i am actually not sure what post is more recent. My time change thing might be off, it might be close to the same time, so i think the jury is out on what actually the line ups are. I guess the last few games they have lost their defensive focus and it seems that TM really shakes things up after a big loss so who knows!
"Another guy getting lost in LA playing on a mediocre team" ... someone slap that guy with a fish.
What's not true about that?
Have the Kings been better than expected? Yes, but they're still just mediocre (at this point)
I mean as big as LA is, it's still not a major market, and the games start around most peoples bed times on the east coast. It's easy to get lost in the shuffle when you take in to consideration those factors.
Oooooo! Labs is starting. Damn I wish I had more than just Horcoff and Nilsson on my fantasy team.
As weird as these lines are, and as dismayed as I am to see Armstrong and Calder in the top six again, I don't exactly hate them. At least our third line can play defense and the fourth line can skate and hit. The first line will probably look anemic, but I have a weird feeling Armstrong might kind of work with those wings.
