D'agostini in, O'Byrne out

As per Habsinsideout. Dags will play with Higgins and Koivu

Dandy on D?

Edit: Just read the article, Dandenault on D. Going to be interesting to see if D'Agostini has a wake up effect on this lacklustre team. Price is back in net.

The Bulldogs beat the Hershey 5-0 when they played them... that was almost the same team that Habs lost to 3-0???? Time for the brass to send some players to the press box and recall Chip- PAc -send SK to hamilton and latenerness and lappy to the press boax. Shake this team up.

Ok, I don't think anyone could have predicted that's what Carbo would use.

And Dandenault back on the blueline...wow, didn't think I would ever see the day.

Nice to see D'Ago in there... but I fail to see how it lights a fire under Kovalev.

Hope it works but to see Lapierre, who handles the puck like it's a hand grenade, with the Kostitisyns has all the appearances of a desperate move by a desperate coach

YESSSSS, OBYRNE FINALLY OUT!!!!

mark my words, we will win this game. He always causes at least one goal per game, and its usually the most important one!

Great line-up shake up by Carbo!

Great...

So how many scoring chances do you guys predict where Lapierre DOESN'T pass the puck to one of the Kost bros?

LOL what in the ****... Latendresse played good for his first game back last night IMO, but it is Carbo so it makes sense that he gets put on the 4th line.

I was hoping for something like this:

Higgins - Koivu - D'Agostini
S. Kost - Plekanec - A. Kost
Latendresse - Lang - Kovalev
Begin - Lapierre - Kostopoulos

I am too actually. While Lapierre isn't the most offensive guy in the world, he skates his butt off every shift and has excellent speed. I like the idea of him crash and banging and the Kost brothers skating with someone with that much hustle.

I don't think Dandy on D could be that much worse than O'Byrne (if worse at all).

I was hoping Kovalev would be benched though.

Love the first line...
Not so much for the rest.

At least, something like that:

HIggins-Koivu-D'agostini
S.Kost-Plek-A.Kost
Latendresse-Lang-Kovalev (switch Plek with Lang if you need more speed)
Begin-Lapiere-Kostopoulos

You need goals Carbo, goalsssssssssssss, stop balancing your lines for 3 3rd line

the only reason O'Byrne is out tonight it's because we are at the Bell Centre.

I'm sure playing Kovy and Pleks with a 4th liner is going to shake them up. Carbo's logic seems as flawed as it could be.

Great to see D'Agostini in though, he might motivate the team with the enthusiasm he brings as a rookie who has the chance to make it with the big team.

As for O'Byrne....well deserved, he's cost us a goal in each of the last 3-4 games he played, it was about time some kind of punishment happened. If Carbs was a patient with A.Kost or Lats, I guarantee they would have a couple more points.

Point is, Carbo needs to understand that even after bad games, changing your lines by spreading your 4th liners all over the line-up isn't the best of ideas. Maybe a little stability, even if we're not playing well, would greatly help this team.

On Habs I/O they are reporting different lines.

Higgins - Koivu - D'Agostini
Latendresse - Lang - Kovalev
Begin - Plekanec - TK
Andrei - Laps - Sergei

Absolutely hate them.

We play the next 7 at the Bell Center so I guess we won't see O'B for a while then.
