did preissing ever say anything negative about murray after he left? i never heard anything that would imply he was unhappy in ottawa.

That bad? I always knew him as a big guy who'd hit and drop the gloves if necessary. Not bad defensively and fast for a big man, am I far off?

Pretty close. You're just missing the "he has Joe Corvo's hockey sense".

No kidding, watching Fedotenko play might help that other poster. Don't confuse the benching by him playing bad, more like it's Therrien's inability to understand how line chemistry works with line-ups.

There is no way Preissing would be on the way back to Ottawa. Not much has changed management-wise in Ottawa since he left. He'll be moved elsewhere...

That said, I believe LA and Ottawa would make great trading partners, just not for Preissing.

Assuming Eklund actually "heard" this, I suspect there is a scout somewhere who is saying to his buddies: "See, I told you I could get him to post this crap!"

If you pretend Eklund is not there and not post him on boards, he'll go away

You should be happy with a 2nd for that big contract

If I was making rules here: any posting of Eklund would result in a one week ban. Has anything he has ever said ever been remotely true?

I like Schubert even without his toolbox, but he'd be kind of redundant with the Kings current blueline.

O'Donnell-Doughty
Quincey-Greene
Gauthier-Preissing

He is definitely not better than any of those players. Well maybe Gauthier - if you guys were close to the cap he could step in and save you some money there. As is, no need for him like you said.

Preissing for Ruutu? Then the Kings can try and move Calder for another depth d-man.

I think that Preissing is worth around 2.2-2.4M but I think what he has now is a little too much

Still a 2nd in a very deep draft for Preissing is very fair IMHO
