Breezer was just on the RDS post game show. Great guy. Played really well tonight. Glad to see him do so well, especially since, I would think its his last year of hockey

According to CBC, Kovy and AK46 had a long conversation this morning in which Kovy urged AK46 to play a lot better than last year. This conversation works. I hope Kovy can arrange another one to himself tomorrow morning.

that must be why kovy is playing terrible this year. he sees the potential in akost, and wants him to dominate the play now. unorthodox method, but may prove affective as the season goes on.

I was impressed with D'Agostini, he used his speed and didn't look out of place at all. I hope he gets another game. Sergei Kostitsyn needs a wake up benching.

Apparently BG met with Kovy today as well. Apparently it didn't work too well. We'll see how it goes in the short term.

Yeah, the two games he has played with big club, he hasn't looked out of place at all. He may not have been spectacular tonight, but he did well and he did his job. I like how Carbo left him out there in the last minute as well, shows how well the kid played.

I wasn't slamming Koivu, but one good play does not mean he played a great game. He was solid, but did nothing spectacular the rest of the time. Oh and like Pascal mentioned, he did play very well the last 30 seconds of the game.

my bad, i saw them bounce off the boards and thought he just missed the net.

its just frustrating we cant even get a good play down low on 5-3's let alone 5 on 4 pp's. towards the end of the 5 on 3 nobody was even moving. koivu once again..smallest guy on the ice yet he is the one paying the price getting cross checked in front of the net.

i know what u mean. thats why tanguay is so important. it takes a lot of pressure off koivu with things like bringing the puck into the zone. higgins is just very dissapointing considering the high hopes i had for him. he will not be someone who could help carry the line imo. and well d'ago was playin his first game.

Don't worry HH87, I had to go back and look at the replays. A.Kost's shots from the point were so fast.

It was frustrating to watch us not capitalize on a 5 on 3. Hopefully we'll see Tanguay in Lang's spot when he comes back from injury. He seems to have good hands around the net, and IMO his talent was wasted playing the point.

it was smolinski last year...he wants 2 centers on the ice so if we lose the faceoff we have another to win it on 5 on 3. plus lang is a righty.

i guess carbo doesnt realize with 2 more men even if we lose the faceoff our 2 extra guys can just converge to the puck and get it. oh well.

Koivu really does miss having Tanguay on his wing. Even when they are not scoring, they dominate the play in the opponents zone. Like I mentioned, not that I think Koivu played a bad game. But let's just say that Koivu misses Tanguay.

As for Higgins, I really didn't notice him very much tonight, and I don't mean that in a good way. He got a couple of shots on net, threw a couple of hits. But other than that, he was just...average.

D'ago I had no problems with and would like to see him stay up for a few more games to get a proper flow going. He didn't do anything special IMO, but he didn't hurt the team at all tonight.

Good to see the updates - H10H you finally got your guy on the PP! Hopefully it'll be on again after the Canucks/Flames tilt, I had to miss it.

I was very happy, I guess Carbo got tired of seeing all the e-mails I sent him requesting it.

But seriously, even though we didn't score on the 5 on 3 tonight. It was sweet seeing A.Kost blasting them from the point. Hopefully Carbo decides to keep him there for awhile. Too bad you missed it, it was a pretty good game tonight. Great team effort.
