I think a fair deal would be Comrie for a 2nd rounder. I suspect that is what the Isles wind up with at the deadline.
I'd do the orginal proposal though, because I'm confident that Neil will be worth something at the deadline too.
I really don't think he brings a 2nd back. He's not even healthy, but I'm sure your post assumed he is healthy. Still though, considering the return of last year's deadline deals, I don't think he brings anything more than a 3rd back. He has been really awful. Much more valuable as a wing at this point because his defense is so crap.
i thought ottawa traded for comrie already at the deadline a couple years ago for a disgruntled russian, wait did they just not have a disgruntled russian playing in the ahl?........
Calgary would take the edmonton castoff and alberta native from the islanders for a 3rd round pick for sure, maybe more
He wasn't great, but he was a good second line player for us.
I'd take him back just because of the familiarity with him and because he was here on our cup run. Plus that means more Hilary Duff!!!!!
I don't think he's worth more than a lower end prospect / pick + conditional pick though. He's not having a good year due to injuries+ and even when he does play his normal game he's about a .7 PPG player who plays a soft style.
