WTF? Talk about off topic..
And no, he never single handedly caused 6 goals(i think it was) that the leafs scored. No it wasn't his fault that we couldn't score and didn't beat Philly last year. Actually Begin was a beast in the playoffs and without his physical play we may not have even got passed boston.

But hey, lets all be like you and downplay his positives and overblow his weaknesses

I wasn't trying to give him a bad name, don;t worry my comment won;'t make people hate poor steve begin, but he does highstick often, just like Koivu hooks often

whats wrong with his logic? He skates around with his stick in the air all the time and clearly takes more highsticking penalties than anyone on the team. Quite frankly I don't see the logic in defending someone whose job could easily be replaced. Sledge hockey players make hockey look prettier than Begin does.

The Leafs scored 2 goals on the 4 mins penalty Begin took when the period was OVER, yeah not his fault. I also never stated the Habs would have beat Philly, but that one game where he made an unnecessary hit from behind to get a penalty which Philly scored the GWG on was not his fault either, right?

Him and his whopping 3 assists really propelled the Habs in the playoffs, easily their best player.

I cannot believe Chipchura is rotting in the minors while begin and dandenault are now regarded as "the work horses" of this team. Chipchura is so much smarter and talented then these guys, I just dont understand Gainey's thinking on this. I mean would you blame Chipchura now if he asked for a trade??

Begin took a major penalty with 0 seconds left in the second period in that leafs game, so yes it was his fault he gave them all the momentum back. The guy is useless, washed up, time to move in, makes me sick how the french media wants to build a rocky statue for this guy. The guy sucks!!!!

Lets not forget the Boston series last year... Game 4 in boston, Habs are up 1-0 Mr Begin decides to take a penalty again with 0 seconds left in the second period tripping a bruin in the middle of the ice. Even brisebye was fuming at the penalty. We are just lucky it didnt cost us that game and it finished 1-0...... Yes everyone takes penalties but he by far takes the stupidest penalties. Useless

You know it was an accident right? It could have been his own brother's stick. I think AK and his fans need to put down the crack pipe and pick up some peace pipe.

Well I'm pretty sure is married/in a relationship with a woman and they have a child so I don't think his wife/girlfriend will be turning him down due to a missing tooth. I mean, she loved him while balding, one tooth gone can't be that bad.

hockey is a team game and his a game of MISTAKES . Each goal you see is the result of a mistake , as much as each missed chances ; mistake that gives a turnover , that leads to a 2 on 1 , that results in a PK ...

A player doesn't cost a game by himself . He just could be the responsable of one mistake during a game with tones of mistakes .

To end , Bégin touched AKosty by accident . It could have been Markov or Koivu or Latendresse that did it . Since he's with the Habs , how many time did bégin has injured someone ? It's nothing comparing of the number of times he was injured himself because protecting his teamates .

I blame Carbo and his decision to start Huet for that loss to the Leafs. Go back and see the quality of the goals scored. Halak probably would have won that game.

I'd be even more pissed seeing Bégin in the interview with his huge smile, being so proud of knocking his teammates tooth off.

I can understand why Andrei is pissed, his own teammate high sticked him. But it'll pass and be forgotten. You get over stuff like that, especially if it's an accident. But for now, he has every right to be annoyed.

He's starting to look like Roy Munson of the movie Kingpin. Now he only needs a hook for a hand and he's a spitting image

By the way Munson still got laid.
