You'd have to give Bouillon to the Flames, because there's no way they'd trade anything for him.

Hamrlik played really well with Aucoin in Calgary. This was proposed to me by a flames fan, and I think it could make sense.

Aucoin has a hard slap shot like Souray, hes a leader, I think R shot, and it could solidify our defense. Can replace streit as trigger man. Veteran too.

To Calgary:

In a HEARTBEAT!!!!

Where do I sign???
Does Kovalev need a ride to the airport??
I'll gas up his plane for him!

Aucoin hasn't had a good year since the lockout.

Is this a serious post, or are you a troll?

I ask because A) It's stupid. B) How could Tanguay for Kovalev be a cap problem for Calgary when Tanguay made *more* then Kovalev? C) Aucoin and Hamrlik never played together with the Flames. They did play together in Long Island.

Do you actually think the Canadiens would consider trading Alex Kovalev for Adrian Aucoin? In what reality would that be a good deal for Montreal?

That would be a horrible trade. I'm glad you're not GM.

Aucoin is a flat footed overpaid d-man. The only thing about his game I like is his shot. Kovalev can singlehandely dominate a game, I wouldn't trade him for 5 Aucoins.

O'byrne makes some mistakes, but he skates a lot better than this guy and is more physical.

How you going to replace Kovalev's 70 pts? Team's having trouble enough now scoring

I think Aucoin and Hammer played together on the Isles.

Rather go after Letang.

Does posting of HF board make fans clueless in terms of hockey????
Why would anybody that calls themselves a Montreal fan want to basically give away Kovalev? He is the one guy up front that can singlehandedly change a game and make his linemates better. He doesn't whine or call out his teammates, the organisation or fans. Yeah he can be a bit frustrating at times, but the team is 10-20% better with him in the lineup than without.

It's comical hearing the no names taht some are suggesting he be traded for. Chicago dumped Aucoin becauase he was vastly overpaid, why the hell would we want another Ninniimaa? Afinogenov has done squat for 2 years, yet some would take him over Kovalev.

Tnaguay plays with Koivu having a good start and he has ONE more point than Kovalev...I guess we should ship him to Toronto for Jason Blake?

Is that so? Funny that his 3 goals and 8 points would put him... 2nd on our team amongst defensemen behind Markov. He has a positive ratio of takeaways/giveaways... we don't have one single defenseman who can claim the same.

The fact remains that although he wouldn't be my first choice as a number 4 defenseman, he'd be quite cheap to get and would be great to pair up with Hamrlik, and he's a right handed shot with a great shot at the point for our PP.

So I may not watch hockey, but I might know a thing or two.

I've watched about a half-dozen full Flames games... Aucoin is washed-up and definitely not a #4 d-man.
