Huge Mancrush on Kovalchuk right now

In an interview in the locker room...answering questions about being put on the 4th line

- I've played with everyone on my team before
- The coach is trying to send me a message
- I must work harder
- The team must play better

Pierre McGuire talking to him pre-game

- The team must work hard to win
- We don't have any superstars ( )
- Therefore we have to work really hard

We need to pick him up

That's called being smart. If he opens up and yaps (Like say, Eric Perrin did today) you get a rep. Kovalchuk is known as a polite little guy. Why break the rep?

He's a fierce competitor, that's for sure. Sometimes he tends to get invisible, but man most of the time the guy is a beast. You should just look at his celebrations and see how much he loves to score. Love the guy (no homo ).

McWire is a moron. The guy is relegated to 4th line and he spins it into a positive.

I feel sorry for Kovy. 7 years and they did not manage to make a competitive team in Atlanta. He deserves better. Like Hossa he better be traded to a contender.

Why is McGuire a moron if it's Kovalchuk who said those things?

And the Kovalchuk we all want got a taste of MTL. I'm hoping that Bob is able manage a deal if their is one be made. According to a vote(95%), most think Kovalchuk remains a Trashers till at least next season.
I did what I think would be a nice trade for Kovalchuk. Two roster player and two first round picks in 09/10. No player is worth braking the bank. Fair and slightly steep is what I expect but not completely over board.

Again my proposal
Higgins, Bouillon and a 2 first round pick in 09/10. Salary can be fit one way or and other. Atlanta is getting a player ready to lead a team. A defenseman in is prime with Bouillon that would be a solid #5-6 guy.

We could always add some prospect ready to step it up. Chiper, Carle .
Other prospect would be what I call overdoing it.

?????

The guy is signed another year, and is TOP 5 talent in the league. Why is Bouillons name in there?

Higgins
Latendresse/Halak
McDonagh/Weber
1st 09'
2nd 10'

Then we can at least start the conversation....

I can't think of anyone else outside of Crosby & Ovechkin that I would rather have.

I would kill to have Kovalchuk on our team.
