Word on Timander???

Just wanted to know if we heard anything else about Mattias Timander and his qualifying offer. Did he sign or what? Nothing has been said but a lot of teams aren't releasing who DID sign and what not. Thanks in advance!

Clarke said he qualified him to retain his rights, so we can assume Clarke expects Timander to play in Europe next season but he wants to be able to trade his rights in the future.

oooh

I had heard in about six other places that Mattias signed with the Flyers so who knows. I know personally that if they offered him something he was going to sign in the NHL. They paid much better than the MoDo. He told me that he thought about going back home when he was in the AHL with Bridgeport but changed his mind when the Flyers aquired him

Well he has been qualified and thus has a one year offer yet did not sign at this point. I would love to have him back as he provides much needed security.

I've been on these boards advocating the signing of another d-man...if Timander agrees to come back and play with us, he fills that need...and we'll have seven strong d-men heading into the season.

I just hope Pitkanen can stay healthy, I'd like to see him play with a little more intensity. If you play timid you will get hurt!

Apparently McAllister is practicing with a few Flyers over the summer at the facilities. Would be a cheap #7 and ensure Seidenberg a spot.

I would not mind having him around either but he is really more of a #8 on a solid team.

McAllister has a job in the NHL because there are 30 teams. Please don't sign him.
