No lock that Prucha is in:

Though Prucha was on the ice yesterday, Renney said he still was unsure whether the right wing would play tonight after 10 consecutive scratches.

I think this is going to be a fun game to watch, Rangers will kick it into next gear and work to defeat the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year.

Here's to no diving calls in Crosby's favor!

Good GDT. Can we include the lines though?

Naslund-Gomez-Zherdev
Korpikoski-Drury-Callahan
Voros-Dubinsky-Prucha
Sjostrom-Betts-Orr

Once again, anyone who wants to criticize Tom Renney need only look at our 2nd and 3rd lines. The blame falls entirely on Glen Sather. And all of you who are always so confident about ANY prospect who comes up in this organization needs to start realizing players like Ryan Callahan are nothing more than a penalty killing 4th liner. He's like Blair Betts 2.0

Drury with Korpi and Cally? Seriously? And people blame Renney for not opening the offense up? LOOK WHAT HE'S WORKING WITH

Dubinsky with a guy who can't stay in the lineup because he couldn't shoot a puck into the ocean from a pier, and another whos only attritube is being able to stand in front of the net?

Great. Just great.

This team has no scoring ability.

Renney should get nothing but praise for sticking to his defensive system (it's the ONLY chance we have) and relying on Lundqvist (the ONLY player worth relying on on this roster)

Yes, that defensive system is fantastic isn't it?

Nothing better than coming out and playing for the tie in regulation and hope Hank can steal you the game in the SO.

Kind of ugly lines, but eh. Nice to see Korpikoski getting a shot.

Would also be nice to see Prucha pot one tonight. But yeah, there is some blame on Sather for not having at least one more scoring winger, but I tend to think the plan was to weather this year and either hope Prucha could rebound or maybe they could pick one up on the cheap, and then next year, slot Cherepanov into the top six.

Now, of course, that won't be the case, so it kind of screws with the overall plan for the top line wingers, I think.

I don't know how much ice (if any) Prucha can expect tonight.

I'd like to see him get at least a whiff of the PP, if Orr is getting PP ice, why not Prucha?

I think its asking too much for a regulation win so i'll say we get another shootout "W".

yeah I'd like to actually see him stay on that line if that's where he's going to start. Give him some legit minutes and don't just play him 8 minutes or something.

The problem is Prucha has shown he NEEDS ice time to be successful, yet doesn't ever deserve that ice time when he plays. I do think that him and Dubi and Voros should get more ice time than Drury's line tonight though because that line is embarrassing as a second line (I know I know there's really no numbers when it comes to these lines but still..that's the exact problem).

We better hope that top line clicks immediately. Because against this team tonight, the one that in my eyes will probably end up running away with this division, we can't afford to not have that top line scoring.

We better hope we can play lock down defense and Redden and Rozsival don't have any massive blunders. Blah. It irritates me that when Staal is out there trying to stop Malkin/Crosby that's going to mean Rozsival as well.

This game has all the makings of another disaster.

Crosby: 6g 3a in his last 3 games
Malkin: 3g 5a in his last 3 games.

4-3 if Prucha scores, and is deployed on the point for the pp. Good low shot, gets it on net. LEt the rest of the guys clean up the garbage.

5-2 if he doesn't

Goddard's agent is a friend of mine and told me that he is going after Orr the first time they are out together. Goddard is 0-4 vs Orr lifetime and feels he owes Orr one. Eric is on a huge roll in the fight department and feels orr's big time weight loss is a huge advantage now for him. We will see what comes of it

As opposed to powerhouses like Maxime Talbot, Tyler Kennedy, Pascal Dupuis and Ruslan Fedotenko?

Yeah, its everyone else who's naive..

This isn't a Renney discussion, this is a talent discussion. compare the Rangers 2nd and 3rd lines to most around the league. 90% of the teams would LOVE a "4th liner" like Callahan in its top 6 wings..

You need to step out an watch more hockey.

But seriously, I hope the team wins. I have a feeling Henrik will be left out to dry again by the defense though.

5-2 Penguins. Malkin and Crosby each with 3 points.

Rangers get 37 shots on goal. Penguins with 31
