I don't follow prospects at all any longer, do we have any that may crack Team Canada this year?

You mean U-20 canada? I think P.K Subban could make it.

Subban is a returnee, he should be there unless he has a horrible camp.

USA roster should be announced at 1pm Eastern...http://www.usahockey.com/

Kristo should be there, McDonagh has a shot. Pateryn is a long shot.

I believe Trunev will make the Russian team... Without his injury, Fortier could have had a chance to crack the Canada lineup.

Subban's in a no doubter. Outside of injury he is locked up a spot on the team.

I guess Olivier Fortier might have an outside chance.

edit: Fortier is injury though right. Scatch that then.

I'm a little suprised to see Kristo there but really glad about it!

But no Long, Jenks, Bourque, Morin, Saponari who had good evaluation camps is pretty surprising...

Trop made Sweden team as well. It'll be a really fun WJC especially if Trunev makes it. 5 players would be sick!

Maybe if the QC born players stayed away from that abortion of a league called the Q, then this wouldn't happen.

You're a very positive person, uh? (but I cant disagree with ya there, Q league became a joke)

Hopefully Trunev makes Russia.

So we should PK and McDonagh in the top four of their respective teams, Torp will probably be 5-7th D for Sweden. Kristo, seeing what, 3rd/4th line duties? And if Trunev makes it, I bet he rounds out the bottom two lines as well.

Well I personally don't believe in posting on a message board for the purpose of agreement.

There are opinions I agree with, but I usually won't post in those conversations because my point has already been made by someone else.

It is going to be hard for Kristo to break that lineup, I think he comes in as the 13th forward. However, I have confidence that he can break the lineup and become an important player for them.

I assume this Blake Kessel guy on D for the US is Phil's brother?

By the way, this isn't WJC related but does anyone have any news on fischer? Hockeydb says he has 10 points in 13 games, in his last 2 years combined he played 87 games and had 19 points. So, he must be looking much better no?

Quebec born players are the problem not the victim. The last 20 years Quebec is the province that has regressed the most in terms of producing hockey players. Luckly for the Q, the Maritimes have stepped up big time. Have a look at the top 10 picks of the 2008 Q draft...5 of the top 6 picks are Atlantic players...Gormley PEI Couturier NB Duffy NS Hynes NF Clarke NB plus Noel NB and Shaw NS later in the 1st RD...that's 7 of 18. The Atlantic provinces have about 30% of Quebec's population.

Even the elite Quebec talent is going to the US...The 3 Biega brothers to Harvard, L.LeBlanc USHL, Killorn NCAA Cisse USHL, Chiasson USHL, Paquet NCAA...those are just the ones off the top of my head...
