I like how he said his son wants to be Saku and makes him be Mikko when they play at home

What a legend. Not much men have his heart and patience (and also character). He has went through a lot of stuff in his life and I wish him a cup because he deserves it.

My man-crush on Saku couldn't get higher.

His son his named Atos? Is that a popular finish name or is Saku a fan of the three musketeers?

Sakuu... what an icon!

I'd lunch a campaign to collect money from the population to keep him in montreal if it was ever a question of money that he stays... but the good news is that we all know it won't be a question of money... it will be up to him if he wants to stay in Montreal or not!

I still don't think Saku is getting enough credit this season. He is by far our most consistent player on an extremely inconsistent team. If anyone is in a slump, they are put on the Saku line and they immediately recover.

Yeah, makes me respect the man even more after watching something like that. Its pretty obvious even talking about the cancer and what they went through is very hard for them still.

The Habs won't let another captain leave. He'll retire as captain of the Habs. Bank on it.

Saku's going nowhere else than up with the Habs.

Still get a chill whenever I see a video of him stepping back on the ice after cancer. I hope he finishes his career with the habs.

Saku is the best, I so hope he retires with the Habs one day and with a nice Stanley Cup ring on his finger.

I laughed when his son wanted to be Saku, my 3 year old son always wants to be Koivu when we play hockey and wants me to be Kovalev, and then he body checks me.

Definitely not.
26 finnish men have that name out of a population of 5,2 million.

Awesome video, Saku is the man!

It sucks to have agent pressure on you anytime a contract is mentioned.

Pretty much no way Saku won't be getting re-signed in Montreal, but Gainey can't just go ahead and say that because its leverage and Saku can't say he'll stay no matter what because for Gainey its leverage.

It's why I'd prefer to see Koivu get his contract now and let everyone else work around it.

A Habs Koivu jersey is timeless. Altought he's (of course) not at same level as them, wearing a Saku jersey is much like wearing a Béliveau or a Richard one today. Playing somewhere else for a few seasons wouldn't take that away. I'd prefer him as a Canadien of course.

I think his son's name is Aatos, not Atos. And Aatos is fairly uncommon but not limited to only 26 men, surely. My uncle's name is Aatos.
