Please, just shut the guy down for a few weeks. Let him do some stretching, but keep him off skates until around Christmas.

we won't know if its reaggavated or he was not comfortable out there. If he injured himself again I say shut him down till after the all star break and get him healthy. He looked pretty good out there when he was healthy. We are perfectly fine with out him.

Wow, mishandling the same injury of the same player within a few weeks.

Only with the flyers medical stuff.

I was excited about getting him back, seeing all the lines together. But we seem to of turned it around without him. Shut him down, get healthy, see DannyBoy in a month.

I can't imagine how frustrated he must be. You could tell he was sooo happy to be back last night, poor dude.

So does this free up any cap space?

Does he have to be on LTIR and not the regular IR for the prorated amount to count?

Let him sit for a month, don't let him make it worse by working out and trying to get back early. Make sure that he's 100% before he comes back, and yet another showing of incompetence and misjudgment by the Flyers medical staff.

He reports it feels good, he shows he can skate, he's in. Athletes fooling themselves or clubs or trainers to get back in the game is as old as centuries.

It's not like there's a blood test they can perform to see if it's healed.

Fair enough. I can't remember what I was thinking that day, so I can't respond beyond acknowledging that you got me there.

It looks to me like Kukkonen is better than Sbisa but Sbisa is getting the call to suit up and play. Must be a reason for that. Perhaps they are just giving him a long look so he know what to drive for once he leaves the team.
Can't say I disagree. If that's what they're doing I can't argue with it so long as Sbisa goes back once Randy gets back into the lineup.

I've had it up to here with McCrossin

I mean WTF does this man have to do to get canned? Where is the accountability?

If he had his way, Lindros would have been dead for a decade now. How many guys come back from injuries and re-aggravate them in the first game back? I remember he let Carter see how he felt during a pre-game skate and they found out he had a fractured leg.

This dude is a joke and an embarrassment to the franchise.

Wake up Snider and Homer!!

People are blaming McCrossin. Briere is who should be blamed. Once the pain is gone, and all the tests, and MRI's are clear. It up to the player to decide when he feels he's ready to go. Trainers have to rely on feedback from the players. It's Briere who keeps coming back prematurely.

While it is the player's responsibility to tell the trainers how he feels, it just must be something on the front of the sweater that our guys always have the same recurring injuries.

In my opinion, there was far too much uncertainty in Briere's words before coming back. I don't think he was 100% ready, he just wanted to play. Big mistake.

Briere wants to play, that's his job, that's what he's paid to do. It's the medical staff's job to be 100% percent SURE that he's ready and he sure as hell didn't look ready last night.

UUGGGGHHHHH.

We all knew this was gonna happen. I knew it from the start when Briere kept forcing the issue. Keep him out 7-8 weeks

Yeah agreed. I think it's silly to blame the player. They're not the ones with medical training.

Very possible. But if that's the case, then Briere is at fault.
