With the guy falling from the upper deck in Ottawa tonight, it got me wondering if any such incidents ever happened in the young history of the BC? Personaly, besides fights I don't remember anything significant occuring...

worst I saw at the bell centre in the uper deck was in the 02 playoffs vs Carolina.
french hab fan vs english hab fan...french guy kicked the english guy in the face.
he rolled down the stairs from the top to the bottom where 2 guys stopped him or else im pretty sure he would have been overboard
He obviously wasn't. If he was, the purse wouldn't have been there, therefore there would have been no incident.
Oh and my condolences to everyone related to those two beers, that (even though the article doesn't mention anything) were most likely tragically wasted.

I was at the World Cup games in Montreal a couple of years ago. We had front row whites. Made me a bit nervous getting past larger folks in that row. Not much margin for error.
Great view of the game though
The scariest place I ever saw a game was the upper bowl at the Detroit Olympia. VERY small steps with very high risers. When you walked down the aisle you were looking straight down at the ice on a very steep angle. One miss-step and bye bye.
I was at the 5th game of the playoffs series against Boston in early 2000, in the first row of the upper bowl. At the game Richard Zednik ate an elbow pad, to be specific. After the incident, people started throwing stuff on the ice and some dudes behind us tried to throw their beer on the rink. None made it, they all landed in the crowd.
The Bruins bench got the whole dinner though. Beers, hotdogs and popcorn were raining.
I saw a rather large portly gentlemen fall down the stairs at a game in Ottawa right in front of me. He twisted his ankle and rolled down at least 10 stairs before he came to a stop. I made sure he was alright and helped him up, he was OK, but my insides were killing me as I was holding in the laughter.
This thread reminds of an incident on the Boards that nearly boiled over into real life.
When Theo was to make his triumphant return to the Bell Centre, some idiot here was stating that he was going to pelt Theodore with Eggs. Needless to say, he was torn to shreds here.

There will be a minute of silence before the next game
