Similar deal to Hossa if you ask me, but there is more value here than Armstron, Christensen, 1st in 08, and Espo...

Higgins
1st in 09
McDonagh
Pacioretty
Dandenault (cap)

for

Kovalchuk
that's basically what I figured too, take out the goalies and one of Higgins or Plekanec and it would be about right, not sure how it would work under the cap, I assume that's why Dandenault is in the proposal.

A bust? Yeah. RIGHT. Having a SP of over .910 with a crappy team like Atlanta is an excellent feat.

Price choked himself in the playoffs last year, so quit it already.
The same could be said about Malkin in the SCF, or Crosby/OV in their first playoffs. Price choked, no doubt about it, but that's why playoff experience is valuable.

What has he done lately? He is not exactly mentioned among the top goalies in the league and has had his share of injuries to add to the problem. I did not say he was a bust right now but for a guy picked 2nd overall he has not done anything to show the pick was worthwhile.

I have a better trade:

to mtl: Antropov, Grabovski, Toskala, hagman, finger, kaberle, 1st x 4 years, 2nd x 4 years, 3rd x 4 years
to tor: Koivu + 5th

people often forget, Koivu is a 70+ pt guy who is a longtime leader/captain of a great team

oh wait... that would make me you.....

BTW Lehtonen is HIGHLY underrated, the guy is a pimp considering how bad his team is, trust me don't knock on Lehtonen, he actually is a price calibre goalie, or at least, equal to prices current level. I won't make comments about the future as price could be the next brodeur/roy/etc but don't bash Lehtonen cause of one dumb troll fake habs fan.

Lehtonen had a bad injury early in his career. He had to change his style of play.

He's still better than all the Lalimes, Gerbers, Wards and Budajs of this world.

Why don't we trade Kovalchuk and the Chicago Wolves for SKost and the Hamilton Bulldogs? I'd love to play poker with the guy who started this thread - A pair beats a straight flush. My proposal:
Kovalchuk
for
Higgins or Plekanec
Latendresse or Lapierre
Trotter
Maybe a pick or a defensive prospect (O'Byrne, Carle or Subban)

Forget about Price, AKost, Komi, McDonagh, Pacioretty, Maxwell, SKost, Gorges, Weber,Kristo, Quailer, Fischer - unless Atlanta adds Esposito to the deal

The deal last year was something like, until Pittsburgh offered "more" right before the deadline;

Grabovski, Halak, 1st, O'Byrne for Hossa + Hedberg

The Thrashers wanted Higgins, Gainey hung up and laughed.

Ok, so i'm a troll... yet you just repeated what I said... which also happens to be the reason why I was called a troll.

Lehtonen is on the same level as Carey Price right now, with a slight edge to Price's future

I'll restrain myself from calling you names for a serious lack of intelligence.

This seems like a good place to cut this off.

And if anyone is going to start a thread about any team, please use their proper name, not something that incites fans of that team right off the bat.

Locked.
