Was listening to Emrick on the way home and he said Madden and Rolston are back, Clem and Biron are starting.

I really wish we'd put Coburn back with Timonen.

Tom Araya.

I personally wouldn't classify Araya's voice as "death metal", but that's just my opinion. For a great death metal voice, check out the late, great Chuck Shuldiner, lead singer of Death.

Oh, and GO FLYERS!!!

Tim P updated his hockeybuzz blog at 4:49 pm, I guess we'll see in a bit:

BTW: Matt Carle's back acted up at the morning skate. He left the ice. And I don't expect him in the lineup tonight.

Bill's post was at 3:30, Tim's post was at 4:49. We'll see, but I bet he's not playing.

The flyers needs another hot start in tonights game. if they can't show up tonight in the first then i would be terrible dissapointed. all you have to do is look at the standings and get fired up for this game. I expect carter to be all over tonight.

Oh my gosh Benny... that sucks!! Wobbly pops indeed!

As far as the game goes, I think we all know what usually happens when we face a backup. But since Clemmenson is the starter these days, I declare the backup blues ineligible.

I love/hate Flyers/Devils games -- LET'S GO FLYERS!!

No you're right, Araya definitely doesn't have a death metal voice. Chuck was good too, but I think he's usually remembered for his guitar skills, and not so much his voice. Frank Mullen of Suffocation is one of the best:

I would just like to go on the record and let everyone know that last night my mom picked me up a new cannon third jersery at Modells. With a 10% coupon she paid $115. She said the jerseys were only $130 and I sat on the phone with her for 10 minutes describing the jersey and she verified it was the same thing. When she got home it was indeed the same jersey on the NHL shop. The only difference between this jersey and what I was actually looking for was that the jersey at Modells didnt have the "C" on it. For what she paid im not upset but does anyone have any insight as to how there is such a dramatic price difference. I know this is a great time for sales but from my experience jerseys dont go on sale like that (the jersey is listed at $170 on the website)...ideas?

Probably want to maximize the offense on the 2nd line. Nodl will probbaly work better with Lupul anyway.

My and my roommates up at college got CI for the year, and I must say that over Thanksgiving break I absolutely died without it. I can't believe I used to watch numbers move on Sportsline's Gamecenter and pretend I knew what was going on.

I'm pretty much done with school this week, so I shall be plopping down in front of the TV and enjoying a blowout.

Go Flyers!

Is Rolston playing?

there is no way we will score 4 goals on special teams. Got to play well 5 on 5 and take less penalties.

this is 4 points game.
At about 4:30pm the exact word my local (Devils area) radio used was "might."

I'm surrounded by them. Now I just tell them that all that matters is the most recent playoff series.

I"m scrunching my brain here.

You're asking us how it's possible you made out like a bandit? Or that you didn't. Or you did but you didn't. Or.

i've got no ideas, dude, cause this is really curious. the nhl controls the sales of the jerseys, not the individual sellers/teams, which is why they're almost never on sale. but, either way, good for you man. maybe modell's just ****ed up.

btw, which modell's is this?

right on with Chuck. No one really remembers his vocals. He was versitile, doing the cookie monster vocal constriction one minute to the high pitch screams, but nothing to write home about. Death was more about his guitar skills + the packages he surrounded himself with. Paul Masvidal, Sean Reinhert, Gene Hoglan, Steve Digiorgio, Richard Christy, etc. etc.

For best voice... Martin Van Drunen of Pestilence/Asphyx/Hail of Bullets/Bolt Thrower fame. Soooo sickening. Him and the guy from Gorefest are my two favorites. But with top tier vocalists like the guys we are mentioning, its all personal preference. Everyone of them are sick.
