Calm down man. By your own logic then you must wait 5 years to see if Chucko has been labeled a bust or if he sees regular NHL time. And don't go throwing out 'abrasive college kids' analogy when you have no idea whom you are talking with. There is no need to be so defensive.

I will wait 5 years to gage how these players do in the NHL. I personally don't see a problem with this point. I think your observation was merely a postureing technique to drive a point home. Fine, but Boyd has played top 6 minutes so labeling him a 3rd liner is falsified and wrong. I am fine with the other observations about Prust and Pardy but don't downplay them like thats all they can ever be is all I am saying.

Update:

Chucko has 21 points in 23 games. 10 goals and 11 assists

Rob Schremp has 1 goal 17 assists in 18 games.

Nice. Glad to hear he's paying well.

Thanks for the update.

Really is great to see him playing well and putting up the points. Well on pace for a breakthrough year.

these numbers can concieve (sp) a little.

Its not like hes skating in and beating the goalie hes getting alot of garbage goals. that is fine by me because his hands are not the softest in the world and he should be in front of the goalie.

That is the kind of game he needs to play to be successful. Don't see why that is a concieving at all. He's not going to score the prettiest goals, he needs to use his big body and put in those rebounds and garbage goals.

Power forwards are always late bloomers. Even Iginla took 3-4 years in the NHL before he became elite. I think Chucko can put up 70 pts this year (in the AHL) and be a solid 15 goal 40 point guy in the NHL. Obviously not we hoped for coming out of the draft but still a solid contributer none the less.

I'd be whistling dixie out my ass if Chucko had that type of production in the NHL.
