Weber Called up

Just heard it on WGR.

They haven't mentioned who isn't able to play tonight though.

Rivet was non-contact and Lydman's laboring... probably a safety measure for both being dented.

Settle down, vcv. He'll get 4 minutes, paired with Teppo. Maybe less if he crosschecks somebody in the teeth again.

Injuries force Sabres hand; Weber recalled

Post-practice update: Lydman will play tonight while Rivet and Weber will not. Peters will also be scratched. Weber's stay with the Sabres may be a short one depending on how the Sabres get through tonight's game health wise. He may go back to Portland without even playing a game.

Eh, it's still a free trip to Florida in December. I'd take it.

POR plays 3 in three nights(SPR, LOW, WOR), vcv, and we're down to fifteen or less if Weber is up and Kyle Rank was released Monday FROM HIS PTO.

Ok? I'm just frustrated to see them call up Weber and not play him. Not that he'll be sent back down.

This.

You have 3 underperforming defenseman and a guy who's play last year as a shutdown guy was solid.

If you're speaking about Weber; his limited call-up time this season was only memorable in a bad way.

Point ceded, but the entire TEAM played awful over that stretch of time. He definitely brings something to the defense that Tallinder/Teppo/Patches don't bring and Spacek does only rarely. Physicality.
