At first I was like because we are playing so well.

Then I was like .. we are playing the Devils so.. thats never exciting.. but I think this will be a really good challenge for the team.

Brodeur is a Canadiens killer, the Canadiens are lucky that he can't play tomorrow.

Hopefully Montreal comes out scoring because if not, New Jersey can make hockey really boring

Heheh nice banner.

Brodeur not being around definitely is a positive. Hoping for four in a row!

That is absolutely hilarious!

The Devils are such a tough team to play against in the past few years because they are so disciplined. In previous years, our team and our top ranked powerplay could get nothing against them, because we never had PP chances. They just killed us 5 on 5, and had stellar goaltending. Brodeur has also always had our number.

I think this will be a difficult game despite Brodeur's absence. If we played like we did last night and the first two periods against Atlanta, I think we'll win. 3-2 Habs!

Hahaha nice picture. It won't be easy, even though Brodeur is out. Parise is a goal machine

I've ordered people to remove the tv's and radios from Harry's house. So I think we're good.

He played their last game, so unless he had any set back. I think we'll see him in their line up for Saturday night.

habs425, you are one creative poster my friend.

Wish it was tonight I'm bored as hell. Anyway that aside I predict a tightly played 3-1 victory for the Habs.

You mean the Devils? They were notorious for their trap defensive style and Brodeur in the net. That's where Jacques Lemaire got his defense-first reputation. Like Tricolore#20 said, they were too disciplined to rely on the powerplay to get offense against them. They would just score a couple to get the lead and strangle you to death.

I don't think it still applies as much anymore under Sutter. I'm not very familiar with this year's version of the Devils so I may be mistaken, but it seems to me the new coach opened up their game a little and let young guns like Parise and Zajak fly instead of just relying on Marty to win 3-2 or 2-1 games.
