I think he was implying that Potter plays so well that when Redden get's healthy, Renney and Sather have a tough decision, much like when Girardi was called up. They really couldn't justify sending him down at that point. Hopefully that will happen for Potter or Sauer. Whoever gets the callup. In that event, Kalinin is seen as the expendible one and gets trade, demoted, rides pine, whatever, from then on.

Call up Potter. Trade Redden for Avery and save us 2.5 million to go towards Dubi and Z next offseason. Then call Columbus and see if we can send them Rozsival for Tyutin and save us even more money. Get these ****** contracts off this team.

Avery has negative value, unless Matt Niskanen and a 1st are coming back our way, I would laugh at this deal if I were Sather.

Yea I hope Sather is keeping in mind that he has a lot of potential future stars to be giving contracts to within the next few years. Does he plan on keeping Dubinsky, Zherdev, and Staal. hmmm?
lets face it. Theres no way we're getting rid of any of those contract. Drury, Redden, Gomez and Roszival. Why in the world would any team, want any of these long term, high priced contracts.

Rosy and Gomez are movable

Redden and Drury aren't IMO

Redden signing just keeps looking worse and worse. I wish Sather picked up Streit like I was hoping he would. Streit and Ryder would have been good, middle of the road pickups without much risk. I do like the Naslund signing though.

How long has Redden been a Ranger? 29 games or something like that? I'm sick of him already. Never liked him, never will.
