I could see the Rangers undoing a wrong and re-acquiring Zubie for the stretch run and playoffs. They never should have traded him in the first place, but again, they are the Rangers.

I could also see the Rangers coaxing Brian Leetch out of retirement.
After all, they are the Rangers. LOL

And as a former fan, I am so happy the Devils moved to New Jersey from Colorado. And they traded that bum, Barry Beck, to the Rangers before coming to New Jersey.
If you thought the state stunk already, we would all have had to wear gasmasks if Barry Beck played in the Swamp. LOL

At that price, the Stars might consider throwing in Avery if they're ready to trade today!

Ok! Dubi, Staal and a 1st for Zubov and Avery!

In all reality:

To Dallas:
Dubinski
Sanguinetti
1st in '09

To NYR:
Zubov
Lundqvist
Conditional 1st in '10

I'd hate to give up a young up and coming player for a rental, but Zubov could be a difference maker for the B's and since the B's are getting a dman back, and because they have Chara and Ward as really strong defensive dmen, he's somewhat expendable (in the short term).
It is going to cost more than Stuart to get Zubov regardless if he may be a rental.

To Dallas:
Wheeler
Stuart

To Boston:
Zubov
And a prospect not named Jamie Benn

Boston isn't trading 2 roster players for 1. Stuart is a top-4 defenseman and Wheeler is a top-6 forward.

If Zubov came to Boston it would be for a Gonchar-type trade. A high-end prospect and 2 picks. Not roster players.

Agreed, Boston won't give up two roster players but just a quick look at your prospect list can one of your center prospects, (right shot required) play right wing? That's what Dallas needs besides a young defenseman coming back.

Say something like:

To Boston: Zubov
To Dallas: Stewart, Zack Hamill and Boston's 1st.

Assuming Hamill can move to the wing.
