I used to think Bouillon was the #5 on this club (#4 with Komi out) but both Brisebois and Dandenault have been out playing him of late.

Something is definitely changed for Higgins. He never lost so many board battles in his first 2 seasons.

Kovy's stick change might be more relevant than you think.

As a defensemen, I loved playing against players with black sticks and black tape.

The stick is easy to follow around.

I hated playing against white sticks with white tape because you see them less.

Maybe Brunet is biased because every Euro he played with in Montreal was either sucky or a total enigma, except Petrov, Rucinsky and Markov (in 00-01, although Benoit was hurt most of that year- what a shock!). He remembers Malakhov and Kovalenko and assumes Andrei Kostistyn and his Euro friends are the same.

Wasn't much of a breakaway, from that angle he won't score 99% of the time.

Great shifts, great PP.

And if Lapierre keeps this up, I can't lobby for Chipchura to take his spot.

Brisebois was so close there.. I bet I'd of been the only fan celebrating.

He seriously needs to try that move more often though.. he always leans towards it, and then decides against it.
