The same way you explain to the Atlanta fans how they gave up Hossa for four 3rd-4th line players.

Huh?
Atlanta is not in any shape to win now. Their entire team has been in rebuild since they have drafted Kovalchuk and look at how far they have come. If they wanted to win NOW, they would have never traded Hossa especially for a prospect and a draft pick and 2 young forwards. (Esposito, Armstrong, and Erik Christensen and a 1st pick).

Believe me, if they could off-load Kovalchuk for a couple of cheap roster players and a bunch of high picks they would. They will always be a draft team (draft them, and then sell them for more).

They got 2 forwards a prospect and a pick. Not 4 fourth liners.

Yeah. You're right. Colby Armstrong, Erik Christensen, as well as prospect Angelo Esposito and a first-round pick (which turned out to be the 29th pick, Daultan Leveille who is someone to yawn at to say the least). None of these are or are ever going to be impact players for the Thrashers. The sum of the parts doesn't equal Hossa. Not even close.

I do not see why they agree with Hossa's trade. Armstrong and Christensen are certainly bottom 6 forward. Esposito looked like a bust and if the Pens give him to you then you know he is a bust. So basically you only get a 1st. A 1st from the Pens is more like a high second. Atlanta is certainly get their pocket picked by the Pens.

Well we know Waddell likes Higgins..

Higgins, Latendresse, 1st round, D prospect for Kovalchuk. Sign him and win the cup. Thanks.

Who's better, Hossa or Kovalchuk?

I can't believe Atlanta had them and separated them....

We need a D-Man but if the Habs have a shot at Kovalchuk than I give them my blessing. I still think we need both a D-Man and another threat up front.

The idea is to get Koval by trade and sign Hossa as free agent next summer.

Why do you hate on Bruce? He claims "Multiple Sources say bla bla bla" obviously he's been lurking on this forum... many people have been saying we need Koval, so... we invent, he officializes...

Haha damn I miss the Ottawa Sun (I'm originally from there)!

He and Eklund are at the same level, that's why. He makes things up to sell newspaper.
