i was watching the NHL network and gary green was dissecting habs / flames games and he said without hesitation that he has talked to several scouts and gm's in the NHL who said that 'halak could start on their team. absolutely'
so he becomes a serious bargaining chip for gainey going forward --and more than a 2nd rounded many predict
it sucks to deal a guy like Halak. I've always thought he was going to become a really good #1 goalie. A bit like Garon but better (potential wise). I just hope they trade him out west.
I personally think this is what Carbo started Halak tonight instead of starting him in our "off" game against TBY. I think that is supposed to send a message to the boys that we shouldn't take them lightly. They may be awful, but they still have the ability to chuck some serious points up on the board in any given game.
You can never take Lecavalier/St-Louis lightly. Totally agree
we have to keep it going, and none of this 'play down to the level of your opponent' crap on thurs vs TB
But this version of the Habs the last 2 seasons has had a lot of trouble playing those teams they should destroy. That's why it's a concern that they will come into that game and think it will be easy and not work hard enough.
On top of that Tampa is playing in Buffalo tomorrow, so we have even more of an advantage on paper...
They have 2 wins in 17 games...TB is gonna fluke a win out eventually. It's inevitable.
good game by the habs
dagostini is one heck of a kid
brisebois suck as usual
one thing i didnt like was when dagostini got nailed, no one came to his defense ...
i guess this team doesnt have much respect for each other
