**** Dandy was bad tonight, but nothing compare to how bad O'Byrne was...

Anyway, with another defenceman down, I guess we'll see a call up...

That ain't happening.

Komo will be back in 3 games it looks like, when Philly comes to town on the 18th.

The one thing this Dandy injury does is now there won't be the need to chop someone off the roster to get back to 23 active players once Komo is back.

He was maybe not our best D-man, but the guy is a warrior. Broken arm and he still stays on the ice to complete his shift.

Yep, I was about to write that also, I can't believe he was still up playing...

Phaneuf would have been crying all over the ice, if that happened to him...

I hope he has a speedy recovery... he had been playing very well for us on the point.

I'm excited to see how O'Byrne responds to his rest... I bet he plays inspired hockey. I really thought he was making strides before his two huge gaffes.
Yes. Yes it does...

You know It really sucks for Dandy that this happened BUT.... Now is O'Byrne's chance to showcase what he can do, and you know what, Mark my words, He Won't Disappoint!

O'Byrne will give his 110% to prove to MTL and our fans he deserves to be in the NHL.

Dandy, Higgins, Hope you both get better soon!

Yay for depth.

O'B can fill Dandy's minutes. Don't forget Dandy was ultimately getting low minutes against relatively soft opposition. Komisarek is coming back soon so there's no need to panic. I'm frankly more concerned about the fans' reaction to O'Byrne, MTL fans can be complete morons sometimes.

If Higgins has to duck out, Lats can fill in. I'm not entirely sure what he was doing wrong, but he's been in the pressbox long enough anyway. Lats may not have Higgins' speed or defensive awareness, but he's got a better shot and better hands. Not saying that Lats is a better player than Higgins, but he's probably a better scorer, at least.

Let's hope they both get better soon though.

O'byrne was not that bad, he just made a few glaring mistakes that everybody noticed. I didn't hear you praising him when he was crunching guys. We desperately need his andKomi's physical play.

As others have said, I feel bad for Dandenault. He's been very good of late, and then he gets his arm broken. Hopefully he's not out too long.

Sad for Mathieu, he was playing well back on D.

Now that means O'byrne will be back

I just hope he won't be paired with Hammer (who has been amazing since he stopped playing with Ryan).

I can't believe that this team always has to have a whipping boy, this year is poor O'Byrne.

The kid was really good last year with Hammer, and this year he hasn't been as good...it happens, it is called the sophmore jinx and it is happening to Sergei K as well.

On the bandwagon, off the bandwagon....I'm thinking the bashers will get aboard again eventually, O'Byrne isn't as bad as people say he is.

This really sucks for Dandenault. Finally gets a regular shift on defense and just when he starts to look solid, has his arm jammed on the boards.

Kudos to him for staying out there to finish his shift. That took courage. Didn't think I'd be saying this either but my respect for Dandy went up a tad.

He broke his arm on that play? Damn... I join the others in saying how impressed I am he actually finished his shift like that!

What happened to Higgins? We completely missed it at the game. Next this you know, he's not in the lineup anymore.

You're talking about last year right?

I watched every single game this season and dont remember a guy getting nailed by Obyrne.

Youtube or it didnt happened. Or at least, name me 2 players that got "crunch" by Obyrne this season.

On LA ZONE on Radio-Canada tonight, Dany Dubé mentionned that he talk to Komisarek during the day and he told him that he doesn't expect to be back before the holidays... so will see if we are stuck with O'By for more than 3 games...

The Higgins injury will only give d'Ago an extra chance to secure his spot on the roster for the rest of the season...Higgins would have been scratched in less than 3 games so that's more than less a good situation for the team.

Higgins will recover and think about what he can do to become a threat and D'Ago will be one with Koivu's line until his return...

Lats will bench more and more....and I like it cause he does'nt give full effort unless scratching is in the air.....

Sorry for my english i'm a die hard french fan from QC city

With Higgins out, Latendresse should comes back in the line-up... Good news for Tender, too Bad for Higgins.

Let's see how this team will do without the Assistant captain. My guess ?! They will perform even better than they are now, showing how much Higgins is expendable.

You know, it occurs to me that Lats always seems to end up replacing Higgins and always seems to do better then than when Higgins is in the lineup.

Weird coincidence.
