New lines assuming Higgins is out for some games?

I think everone will agree that we keep the A.Kost Saks DAgo line intact..

I really liked the Tanguay Lang Kovalev line tonight, I think we should give them at least another chance to prove it was not just an illusion..

the third line?

S.Kost Pleks Latendresse? I think it could be an interesting one.. thoughts?

No way, you can't have Kostopoulos playing with Pleks and S.Kost. The guy's got heart, but no offensive skills:

A. Kost - Koivu - D'Ago
Tanguay - Lang - Kovalev
S. Kostitsyn - Plekanec - Latendresse
Begin - Lapierre - Kostopoulos

Markov - Gorges
Hamrlik - O'Byrne
Boullion - Brisebois

Price
Halak

It's not my choice (I'd have the same as you), but I wrote the lines Carbo will use. Kostopoulos will be on the 3rd line.

Kostopoulos will be on the 3rd line because of Carbo. Plus when he was with Tanguay and Plekanec he was really doing well, getting scoring chances and hitting all the time. Those three could be very effective together (SKost, Plex, Kosto).

The difference between Kostopoulos and Latendresse is that although Kostopoulos lacks offensive skills, he clears space and opens up plays. Latendresse, from his last few games, expects people to feed him the puck and does a bad job at scoring.

Kostopoulos will stay on the third line.

But you think Latendresse has more offensive skill??? HAHAHAHA!!!
I'd personally prefer if Latendresse didn't see the ice in another game this year. If he isn't going to play hard both ways and if he isn't going to use his size and strength to out-muscle his opponents....then I don't want to see him in the lineup.

The only reason he made the Habs roster 2 years ago was because he played physical and threw his weight around, after that he stopped hitting and stopped playing aggressive hockey. He's not good enough skill-wise to play without hitting and being physical, he has to use his body more and he has to work harder.

Yes, and I'm sure most people would agree with me as well. Lats can hit, but he's got to work much harder and be much smarter with his positioning. He's worked on his skating, but his hockey sense is sub-par and that's really what's hurting him IMO. I think playing with Sergei and Pleks, two fast guys with plenty of smarts will help him a lot.

You do realize that Kostopoulos has less points than Latendresse this year... last year also...

Please, your hate of the player blinds you completely and therefor we have a hard time taking what you're saying seriously...

Kostopoulos has no place whatsoever on the first 3 lines... he's a great 4th liner, gritty and all, but how many plays did he screwed up for his line the last 2 games?

I really like S.Kost Pleks and Lats but I think Carbo will find a
way to stick Kostopoulosin there.

Perezhogin went back to russia when his contract was up, nothing wrong with that. In Emelin's case he didnt know habs showed interest and even if he diud and signed in Russia, it's his right, it's his choice.

I've got problems with players bailing out from a contract to join the other league both ways, but when your contract is up you can do whatever in hell you want.

Why put an offensive forward with pluggers and a pluger with offensive forwards

Latendresse-Plekanec-S.Kost
Kostopoulos-Lappierre-Laraque

I like Plekanec-Kostopolous as a shutdown combo. Add Skost to that line for some sneaky offensive punch. Plekanec can be a beast as a shutdown C.

I notice Kostopolous on the ice WAY more than I notice Lats when he plays.

It's not all about points.

Next game, it will be Latendresse or Laraque in the line-up.

VS Tampa Bay, wich will be the best?

Does Tampa have any tough guys? I doubt it, I think Latendresse is better. Especially since Lats is gonna be out like a blazing fire (Or at least I hope so. Sergei certainly didn't impress...)
