Who is in goal for us? I think Renney will go with Lundqvist. The whole off-ice non practice w/o PP drills was to rest him, I guess. I'd rather see Vali.

What a stupid thing to say.

However, Zherdev is both, he represents Russia and has Russian citizenship but was born in the Ukraine.

Anyway, I feel weirdly positive about this game, 3-1 NYR.

How so? Ukriane was part of the Soviet union before the wall came down.

As we attempt to heave this back on topic...

I'd like to see a strong sixty minute effort tonight, with an aggressive forecheck and strong offensive pressure.

This is the worst team in the league, they too have lost three in a row coming in, the Thrashers simply have to be beaten and beaten soundly. Not in a shoot out, a decisive start to finish regulation win.

Will we get that? Who knows.

Optional skates and "Good video sessions" don't instill a lot of confidence in me at this point.

Atlanta should be beaten like a carpet, if they aren't...

• Three regulation wins in 17 games since the start of November.
• Two goals or fewer in 12 of those 17 games.
• Two shutouts on home ice in the last three games.
• 2.33 goals per game, second-to-last in the NHL, better than only Tampa Bay.

• Scott Gomez: 1 goal in his last 13 games
• Chris Drury: 0 in his last 8
• Brandon Dubinsky: 1 in his last 20
• Ryan Callahan: 1 in his last 14

This has to change. Tonight.

I dunno, I never feel good about playing these bottom feeder teams that we should beat especially when we are on the skids.

Oh god, this is horrible. 3 goals in 55 games for these players, three of whom are getting top minutes. Yeah, coaching has really nothing to do with this

EDIT: Make that all four getting top minutes. 16+ minutes a game for each player

Indeed. Just a suggestion... When you talk to Irishman, please do not call him Englishman. The fact that language is the same may not suggest that you make it home from that bar.

As per Zip, the lines are:
Naslund-Gomez-Zherdev
Dawes-Drury-Callahan
Voros-Dubinsky-Sjostrom
Korpikoski-Betts-Orr

With Valley in for Hank

SWITCH EM UP AGAIN TOMMY!!!

I guess your little experiment didnt work, so now youll try Dawesy out and Sjostrom up on the third. Jesus Christ dont you get it? Its not the line combinations that are the problem...

I knew he would put Valley in... our luck is the offense will explode and score 5 but Valley will let in 6.

Anyway...

So we should expect a big night from Zherdev, since hes playing against a superstar Russian...

I thought Prucha played pretty well the last two games.

Err.. would have liked to see Potter get at least one more game as well.

Prucha sits

D Corey Potter will sit, as will Petr Prucha and Dan Fritsche.

So how many games was it before Prucha sat this time? 3?

Renney is really aggrevating me with this whole Prucha problem here. Dawes plays over Prucha.. Come on man, let Prucha play for a string of 10 games. If he can't score or put up assists then sit him.
